The majority of Logan's trip info will be on his thread, but here's the update on TC..... and some very special pictures!
We arrived at the house Saturday morning and when we walked in the door, TC was STANDING.......I repeat......STANDING waiting for his hugs!! It was wonderful to see him back on his feet with that famous smile on his face. His eyes were dancing and you could feel the chuckle in his heart!!
Logan remembered him and immediately they exchanged those "glances" that seem to say, "We share a secret"....... and then the baby proceeded to show TC all of his tricks that he's learned in the last 2 1/2 months since they had been together. It was unbelievable! Logan acted like TC has been gone only a day or two and of course TC enjoyed watching Logan run and play and act like "Logan".
TC had a great day on Saturday. He felt good, and due to some medicine that he's taking, he had his appetite back, so he is picking up a little weight again.
We visited again for a bit later in the day and then again on Sunday morning when we met them for breakfast. Sunday wasn't as good a day for him, or for his precious Faith. But we were told that that's the way it goes. One good one and one bad one.
Somehow the date of the tests got confused and so it's next Monday, the 15th, that they will start them. He will NOT be admitted for them, and when he starts the treatment, he won't be in the hospital for them. He will be on the drugs for 6 weeks before they run any more tests to see what the treatment is doing.
When we left to drive back to LA on Sunday, it was so hard telling him "we'd see him later"... never goodbye. We just don't believe it's goodbye. We went to cheer him up and let him know how much we love him, and instead, it was TC that gave us a happy. Words cannot express how good it was to see him being able to use crutches to get around, to stand, and to get in and out of the car without being in terrible pain. Prayers, prayers, prayers..... they are being answered. Thank You God!
TC asked me to post for him. It's hard for him to sit and post and to put into words his feelings right now. His concentration is solely on beating this cancer. He did ask that all of you be thanked for your concern and for your prayers. He feels without them, he wouldn't be where he is today.
Please continue to pray for him, and for Faith. She's fighting a mighty battle also right now and needs prayers also.
We are so lucky to have this man as our friend. And we'll see him again ....... as soon as he's able. In the meantime, we'll all be here supporting him, praying for him, and for Faith, and waiting for the good news that's going to come in the future.
Nana

Oh thank you for the update on El Roy. How wonderful to see pictures of him and see him with the baby. Please tell him how much he means to me and to my hubby Chads (Tom). We will continue to remember him in our prayers.
Very sweet. Prayers for you, TexasCowboy, Logan, Faith and all. TC, you look really good, hang in there. Continued prayers for you.
Brad's Gramma, thanks for posting the update and photos. I always check in for updates.
God Bless all of you.
That was a terrific update...
I have to admit to reading most of it through tears, though. I know that just getting to see Logan and Nana probably really helped him...and I feel that Faith is really going above and beyond...
I pray that God gives Faith and TC the extra strength right now...and that Cowboy's concentration on getting rid of the disease will bring it about...
Prayers up TC to you, Faith and your family

Awesome news, BG! El Roy looks much better than I expected, so that's good too! And I know seeing TT and all must have given him tons of happy dance feelings!
Don't you wish we could be closer so that we could cook healthy stuff for TC and Faith? Heheh, all of my 'Jewish Mother' is coming out in me! I want to make them a ton of chicken soup so they'll get stronger.
Still praying, and still keeping this family in our constant thoughts...
If you read this El Roy, "Get stronger! And get stronger, Faith! Hopefully you both can feel our prayers lifting you guys up to our Father! Abundant blessings on you both! Let them rain down and shower you with healing!"
AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!! Prayers still going up!!
How wonderful to see those two reunited once again. I know it had to pick up TC's spirits. Nothing like a child to do that for you. We are still praying for TC and his spirit is unbeatable. He's a strong man with strong faith. We will continue to pray for his recovery and that of his daughter.
PS: Our grandson arrived yesterday morning. We are elated!!! That's BIG Thank You God!!! :)
and this was in today's news paper and made me think of TC
Hugs good for health, research suggests
WASHINGTON - A simple snuggle can help lower blood pressure and reduce stress, a new study suggests.
The researchers' theory is that a heartwarming pause and cuddle suppress stress hormones and release oxytocin, a human hormone that's associated with maternal love.
Thirty-eight couples participated in the study, which measured blood pressure, stress levels and oxytocin before and after they discussed a happy moment together, watched five minutes of a romantic film and shared a 20-second hug.
The result, according to an article in the latest issue of the journal Psychosomatic Medicine, was lower levels of the stress hormones cortisol and norepinephrine and higher levels of oxytocin in both men and women. Those shifts all contribute to cardiac health.
Women were found to be more responsive to warm partner contact. Dr. Karen Grewen, a psychiatrist at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill and lead researcher, said oxytocin and the female reproductive hormone estrogen were closely related, which may be why women were more responsive to the hormone than men were. Grewen and her fellow researchers theorized that beneficial hormonal shifts stimulated by mellow romance are a health benefit that a loving marriage confers. Conversely, the shifts may help explain why divorce is linked to increased mortality.
What wonderful pictures. We love you, TC, and are still praying! Lots of hugs coming your way, too!
The best therapy I've seen.....Bless you all!
