Over the last two nights we have managed to convert my room bed into a dream of comfort with warm air blowing through cells in the mattress designed to maintain a constant pressure in each one. This is the modern epitome of comfort for patients who have back and/or hip problems. The first night I slept on it the port side sprang an air leak, and I woke up at 2:00 A.M. feeling like that dream mattress had turned into a concrete slab. The broken femur occupied and filled my world.
We fixed that only to have a repeat the next night on the starnboard side.
We finally got the whole problem solved by changing out the entire bed. I luxuriated in comfort last night. I really did NOT want to get out of my bed to face the world this morning.
The tumor has been reminding me of it's presence the last two days. We've cut off as much of it's food supply as possible, and that made it very angry.
I've been running a low grade fever, and as it dies, the body has to absorb and discard the waste products.
The short story is that I feel like I have the flu.
I doubt seriously that I'll be able to make a post tomorrow, friends. It's a five hour surgery so I'll be out of touch with the world most of the day.
If I regain consciousness at any time tomorrow, I'll make a post to let you know how it went.
Faith will be with me all day so if I can't post, I'll get her to make one for me.
Now, I'm going to catch up on some sleep in that luxurious bed while I can.
Thank you for your prayers, friends. I love you all.
"I need to make an apology to all."
There's absolutely no reason for you to apologize, TC. Prayers I amped up for you today, will simply give you a stronger running start tomorrow. Prayer is never wasted -- of that I am sure.
Rest as comfortably as you can. We're with you in spirit and prayer.
HUGS!
Prayer time BIG time.
This surgery will get you back on your feet and heck yes!....the Termite will be glad to assist you in the walking, climbing, running, squating routine when you're ready!!
Our love and our prayers (along with about a million from you other friends) will be with you and will see you through this.
Stay strong.... hugs are awaiting!!

No apologies necessary---I never, ever know the date!!!
I paid bills last week and put the year 2006 on all of them..they say time really flies when you get older, so I guess I really am getting too old...LOL
Well, I am glad that tumor is mad--it deserves everything it is getting, but I am sorry you are having some yucky feelings...
I think by this time tomorrow night, you will have a lot of weight off your shoulders...you will have jumped a tall hurdle in your race to wellness...
And remember, you don't have to be able to run, to target shoot!!!
Prayers up--up and more up tonight...
check in tomorrow--love

Bubba Rides Again!
Two rednecks Bubba and Billy Bob,decided they aren't going anywhere in life and think they should go to the junior college to get ahead.
Bubba goes in first. The professor advises him to take math, history, and logic.
"What's logic?" asked Bubba.
The professor answers, "Let me give you an example. Do you own a weed-eater?"
"I sure do," answers the redneck.
"Then I can assume, using logic, that you have a yard," replies the professor.
"That's real good." The redneck responds in awe.
The professor continues: "Logic will also tell me that since you have a yard,
you also have a house."
Impressed, the redneck shouts, "GAWL-LEEE!"
"And since you own a house and a house is tough to take care of by
yourself, logic dictates that you have a wife."
"Sally Mae!! This is incredible!" Bubba exclaims.
"Finally, since you have a wife, logically I can assume that you are
heterosexual rather than homosexual," says the professor.
"You're absolutely right! Why that's the most fascinatin' thing I ever
heard of. I caint wait to take this here logic class."
Bubba, proud of the new world opening up to him, walks back into the
hallway where Billy Bob is still waiting ...
"So what classes are ya takin?" asks Billy Bob.
"Math, history, and logic." replies Bubba.
"What in tarnation is logic?" asks Billy Bob?
"Let me give you an example. Do ya own a weed-eater?"
"No.."
"You're a queer, ain't ya?"
