Rev. Gene Robinson: Jesus 'might be 'gay''
WorldNetDaily.com ^ | April 3, 2005 | WorldNetDaily

Episcopal Bishop Gene Robinson, the first openly
homosexual bishop of his denomination, has angered
traditionalist Anglicans by suggesting that Jesus
Christ might have been homosexual.

Robinson, who left his wife – and mother of his two
daughters – to cohabit with his male lover, Mark, made
his inflammatory remarks during an address
titled, "Homosexuality and the Body of Christ: Is There
a New Way?" at Christ Church of Hamilton and Wenham,
Massachusetts. The bishop was asked by a congregant how
Christians could both accept homosexuality and the
Bible's emphasis on redemption for sins.

Mat 19:4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made [them] at the beginning made them male and female,

Mat 19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh?

What part of "male and female" does a bishop fail to understand?

Furthermore.

1Ti 3:5 (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

Paul made the point in words that the bishop is now making in deed.

But V. Gene Reprobate tore those pages out of his Bible and replaced them with doilies soaked in sewer water.

If, as Christians, Episcopalians believe that Jesus is one with the Father and the Holy Spirit as G-d, consider this question.

Why would an Entity that can manage creation ex nihilo need any sexuality?

Where is the relationship between Jesus and Mary Magdalene documented? There are four gospels that recount Jesus' life and none of them strongly suggests that they had a "relationship" in the sense that we use the word today. Seriously, where is this documentation?

The appearance of this story is in keeping with some of the subtext that I am noticing with the Pope's funeral coverage. They are trying to spin a "trend" of diversity and acceptance. No judmentalism, never discuss morality. I know it only seems little snippets but it is there.

I bet the leftwing anti-traditional (anti-christian?) factions of cardinals are working overtime to get a leftwing liberal as pope.

Probably in one of the "Lost Gospels." I had a relative come to our home around Easter who stated she believes Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene. I think she cited 'The Book of Philip.'

But another in her family claims Jesus committed a sin by getting angry, and throwing the money changers out of the temple..... so I tend to not believe a word either of them says.

You hit an important point and an explanation of why the homosexuals push the big lie.

Jesus is without sin
Jesus is accused of being a homosexual
homosexual is not a sin.

It does not matter that the old and new testaments speak against it. It does not matter that no major religion endorses homsexual conduct.

It will be interesting to see who the episcopals merge their church as they become exinct.

I believe this is what is referred to as "circular logic"....... "Jesus was without sin, Jesus was a homosexual, therefore homosexuality is not a sin.....yeah, that's it, that's the ticket, homosexuality is not wrong because Jesus was a homosexual!!!!"

Leviticus 20:3 is obviously a missprint, then. Or has been grossly mis-interpreted. I have actually heard people argue that "Leviticus is in Old Testiment anyway, it is not really applicable after the Birth of Christ". The Ten Commandments were Old Testiment too, does that mean that they are no longer valid?

""The Rt Rev Gene Robinson, the Bishop of New Hampshire in
the Episcopal Church of the United States, said that Jesus
was an unmarried, "non-traditional man" who did not uphold
family values, "traveled with a bunch of men" and enjoyed
an especially close relationship with one of his
disciples."

This theory will have to compete with the other prevalent theory now extant on the internet that Jesus was, in fact Irish. After all, He was over 30, had no job, hung around with the guys drinking wine and talking about impractical things, still lived at home with his mother, and believed that she was a virgin.

(TIC/off)

Yes! YES! I remember that, I was remembering it now, and wondering if I imagined it!

LOL, that was Joe Flaherty who did that, wasn't it? It was dead on, but his Wm. F. Buckley imitation was even better!

"The wacko in LosAngeles who had or has the satellite network. Always, gimme money, gimme money, on and on. while he lived on a $35 million horse ranch outside of LA and raised show horses."

Yes, true, but at least he didn't say Jesus was gay!

Take it up with the History Channel, that is where I heard about it.

re: Jesus as a Celt

Gee, this e-coli/Cathar-Essene-neo-Gnostic-Albigensian-Merovingian Christology gets confusing. I seem to recall reading somewhere (R.F. Delderfield?) that "God is an Englishman." If God the Father was Anglo-Saxon or, more likely, Anglo-Norman (irony), how could his "son" Jesus be Irish? He travelled with Joseph of Arimathea looking for tin in Ireland, right? Those flaxen-haired Cork babes are hard to resist.

LOL!
