Terri Schiavo Cremated Amid Family Feud

TAMPA, Fla. Terri Schiavo's body was cremated Saturday as disagreements continued between her husband and her parents, who were unable to have their own independent expert observe her autopsy.
The cremation was carried out according to a court order issued Tuesday establishing that Michael Schiavo () had the right to make such decisions, said his lawyer, George Felos. He said plans for burying her ashes in Pennsylvania, where she grew up, had not yet been completed.
Terri Schiavo's parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, had wanted to bury their daughter in Pinellas County so they could visit her grave.
Terri Schiavo, 41, died Thursday after the removal of the feeding tube that had kept her alive since 1990, when she suffered brain damage that court-appointed doctors determined had placed her in a persistent vegetative state (). Her parents had fought in court to keep her alive, disputing the doctors' opinions and saying there was hope of improvement.
if this same thing had happened in another country, what would have been the reaction of the American people and gutless politicians ??

The ME said that a standard autopsy would be done to determine cause of death, and that it would be supplemented with full body xray scans.
We know what happened to Terri and the world knows what happened to Terri. It will be the ultimate insult to humanity if her death certificate does not indicate that she was starved and dehydrated as cause of death.....

Mikey only thinks he won. Her family requested a Catholic mass for her before the cremation. Mikey denied that request.....but the Vatican didn't. Terri was included in the mass said for Pope John Paul yesterday.

In order to state the law was followed, you HAVE to believe michael schiavo.

If the law does not permit PROTECTION from abusive husbands when the wife cannot speak out, something is WRONG!
The story isn't about right to die or live...the story is about a judge who allowed a sociopath to terrorize his brain damaged wife.
We will work to correct that.
I imagine in that case, they kept his body refrigerated. If the authorities in Terri's case believe the autopsy was adequate, there's no reason to do anything except to release the body for final dispostion.
If that could be done, those ashes would have already been flushed.

I have had the same take on this case---the possibility that this was a case of spouse abuse, turned into a legal murder has just been eating at me for weeks---
What has surprised me is all of the supposed "smart" people on TV that STILL will not admit that Terri didn't get good enough "due process"...
