This is the Roe v Wade of our time. That is why so many are so angry at the GOP and Bush. Roe v Wade defined legally when life begins, at birth, now Terry will define life ends when you can no longer communicate clearly a desire to live. We just can not let that happen. And any so called leader that walks away ain't worth squat.

 I've talked to several in my family - my dad and some uncles - who are WWII vets. They're not just horrified, they're outraged. They knew at the time about the euthanasia connection, how it led to the rise of Nazi-ism.

So, if the judge is not a judge in the eyes of the Constitution, what is he? A private citizen? A criminal? If the decisions he has handed down from the bench to starve a woman who has been deprived of medical treatment for more than a decade are not lawful, what shall we call him?

An executioner.

Well, actually I have been offline and off duty for a few hours-- in my guise as "Mother," I catch 4 to 7 hours of sleep before either the old dog or the younger wife noses me awake to need something. In that other life I led long ago, I learned combat sleep, and can get by indefinitely on just a few hours as long as I can drop into a trance for a few times a day.

Life is full of ironies... I am the oldest and hardest-used member of my surviving family, with the exception of my mother-in-law, and I always thought I'd be the first to start falling apart at the seams- but instead, the very opposite has occurred. Everyone else is falling prey to various aliments, injuries, or maladies, and I stand watch, and keep on keeping on...

Even people in perfect health realize that a slip on the stairs can turn them into one of the disabled... and then, who will speak for them and decide their fate?

As I mentioned to you in email, my wife- the former Democrat- is beside herself with outrage over this incident. Despite what the Jackal Pack Press would have you believe, this cuts across party lines, ideology, and everything else. Anyone- anybody- can be affected.
