Normally, I link without commentary aside from brief quips or quotes.
"You're Next..." Just keep that concept firmly in mind when you remember Terri.
My links lead to much commentary and other links- use them all, and you will "get it," if you do not already.
This is the Roe v Wade of our time. That is why so many are so angry at the GOP and Bush. Roe v Wade defined legally when life begins, at birth, now Terry will define life ends when you can no longer communicate clearly a desire to live. We just can not let that happen. And any so called leader that walks away ain't worth squat.
I've talked to several in my family - my dad and some uncles - who are WWII vets. They're not just horrified, they're outraged. They knew at the time about the euthanasia connection, how it led to the rise of Nazi-ism.
I recommend you read the book "The Culture of Death" by Wesley J. Smith. It will open your eyes wide up to what is actually going on ... Thanks for the tip, and I will read it. These deathbringers are on the march everywhere - not just in the US.
If Judge Greer ordered that it was lawful for you to beat your wife would Jeb step in? -- These courts have a cadre of bandits who leech off these courts. Most of these local courts use and select their own guardian's ad litem, court experts, etc. All of these folks make thier living off the court. Drive around the court house and look at the offices and organizations directly around the court house. Every lawyer knows about getting "hometowned" and understands what this means.
-- a morphine drip has been administered by medical staff at her hospice to help her ease her pain --
HOSPICE EXIT PROTOCOL FOR TERRI
Read the actual exit protocol found in Terri's medical file Exit Protocol. The document details the list of nacotics that is being given to Terri to hasten her death. The exit protocol ends with the statement, "Thank you for the opportunity to collaborate regarding this patient's care."
Read the Symptom Management Order for Terri Symptom Pain Management
The document was signed by Dr. Victor Gambone, the doctor who falsely certified that Terri was terminally ill in April 2000. This document details the amount of morphine being given to Terri.
Scientology's town-- Clearwater, Florida- in Pinellas County (2004) -- Great links and info on Clearwater Scientologists tie in with judge Greer, the Pinellas legal establishment and the Clearwater political establishment
Scientology Vs Terri Schindler Schiavo
Think Terry's Fight does not affect, or apply, to you?
Think again.
Got a recessive gene? Old parent or spouse? Handicapped child?
At what point do they become "a useless Eater"-- like Terry?
All you geezers that moved to Florida for low taxes & mild weather? You're next...
Just as the Pope predicted, we have become a Cult of Death--

What's needed is for people who can truthfully sport the following bumper sticker to do so:
Sorry I voted for GREER IMPEACH HIM NOW

So very sorry to hear the bad news this am in Australia, prayers for Terri and your brave nation, I don't believe all Americans can be judged guilty for something that happens in Florida, Felos and Greer must be brought to account. Greer was instructed by Congress to re-hear the case anew, that was my understanding. The fact that he did not do so, places him in contempt of Congress, does it not?Thank you.
In theory, he's in hot water, but I fear our alleged "representatives" have become toothless... I suspect they will try to forget about this and hope everyone else does, too.
I still believe Americans, and America, are basically good. What we have is a rogue Judiciary coupled with a failure of leadership- in part fueled by polls which were biased from the start. Of course, the more telling thing about this is that true leaders don't govern by polling results- they do what's right, and hope the voters come to see that next time around.
For me, this is the opening of a long, new war of activism-- term limits, more accountability for Judges at every level, more safeguards for the disabled ( my late first wife was among that group- it's personal for me. ) and an unquenchable fire of hostility toward the Euth Movement and its acolytes. I am even mulling over the idea that we need to eliminate our, ahem! "representatives" and go to a direct vote. With restrictions, of course, like being a taxpayer or landholder. Up or down, win or lose, and at least laws and regulations proposed would have to be clear and simple enough for the average voter to understand. No more 3,000 bills that nobody reads, no-one fully understands, and burdened with riders that have nothing to do with the proposed law.
It's a damned shame a helpless woman had to be killed to get everyone's attention, but I believe this will have profound repercussions that no-one can fully predict.

There is truth to what you say. I think what we have in mainstream America is an infection of the moral fabric of the average individual. It is like decay in the enamel of a tooth, you have to dig it all out or it will destroy the tooth. Likewise here. The culture of death has infected the American psyche with the notion that death is preferable to life, and that when offered a clear choice between life and death, the average American will choose death. It is a morally bankrupt and cowardly position, but it seems to have become the norm.
How did it come about in just a short time? I am old enough to remember a time when we cherished life, that it was viewed as a gift, to be protected and valued, and that, while at times difficult, was still worth living. And that was because there was a belief that where there is life there is hope, hope that you can make a difference, and can do some good in the world. Now, the national mood seems to be one of hopelessness, where the good fight is no longer worth the trouble of fighting.
I don't know where it has come from. Materialism? Narcissism? The rise of the abortion machine? All have taken their toll. But it comes down to people. And people make up the courts, the government, the medical professions. When those people turn their backs on choosing life, then we all face the death machine at one point or another.

Excellent thread, Backhoe!
How sad that Terri has not been saved by those worthless people who are in control of our courts and lives.
Terri is still alive and we all know what she said in the past-->
Where there is LIFE ** THERE IS HOPE~~!!!
Thank you for the thread. Hopefully people will find out everything possible, about this hedious, mis-carriage of Justice.

Speaking of attorney's..
Does anyone know how David Gibbs was selected to be the Schindler's attorney? Also, who is Robert Destro? He was on one of the morning Cable News Programs.

Just wanted to point out the fact, that the ACLU has been helping Michael Schiavo/Felos since October of 2003. Also the AARP joined up about that time, too.
This family has fought harder than is humanly possible. I so respect them. Their pain is beyond words. I dispise the ACLU even more, knowing that they fought against Terri's wonderful family. It's so sad.

Sadly, Fox News is now a worthless source of news. Other than Hannity, they have no fair and balanced programing.
I've spent the past hour screaming at my TV. It was on Fox News. The mis-information coming from Fox is unbelieveable.
They had Catherine Crier on the Hannity/Colmes program. I can NOT stand her now. I've always enjoyed her program on Court TV in the past.
That was before I realized she is a ghoul. Everything I thought the former Judge stood for, is nothing but a sham. She just wrote a new book on the Scott Peterson case. I hope people will boycott her book. How can she say she cares about Laci Peterson, a murdered woman and then she turns right around and defends Michael Schiavo.
Fox News and Catherine Crier, you both make me sick.

Choose Life (Jewish Perspective on Schiavo) ---Only a society that still believes in the human soul as something ineffable a breath of the Divine within us which cannot be expressed in terms of EEG's can produce a Yacov Tabak. By contrast, a society that defines life only in terms of the capacity to experience a certain set of pleasures is on the road towards elimination of those who lack a particular societally determined "quality of life." Indeed the judicially sanctioned killing by starvation of a sentient, responsive woman, who requires no more life support than an infant, is already well down the road.---
