I am surprised the pro-death people haven't posted something ugly about this and us.

Why didn't MS offer guardianship to Terri's parents? It all boils down to the inexplicable, or worse.

And even now, there are a lot of people who still don't get this incrementalism.

That's funny! I was just reading that exact same thing. I get it in my Prophecy Update material every day. Thanks for posting.

Very timely.

I was just downloading a Will To Live provided gratis by the National Right to Life people, found here: http://www.nrlc.org/euthanasia/willtolive/index.html
and as I did so, I reflected on the fact that the reason Michael Schiavo got away with this is that Terri could no longer talk in complete sentences.

"THE WILL TO LIVE Protects your own life and the lives of your family members when you cannot speak for yourselves."

Very good, and I will attach it to my thread NEEDED: A MOVIE ABOUT TERRI (SCHINDLER) SCHIAVO

I'd like your help, or anyone's help, on my thread to develop a list of defendants and a list of charges against the defendants who murdered Terri.

"Ask anybody who agrees that Terri Schiavo should be put to death, and they will all give the same reason for their approval. "If it was me, I wouldn't want to live like that." In this view, it isn't about Terri, it is about me."

True, but it's also about ignorance with a Capital "I". How many 'average Americans', for example, know that Terri Schiavo is responsive to her parents, smiles, laughs at thier jokes, and weeps with them? The media don't want people to know the truth, not that this is exactly news.

Anyway, great article, thanks for taking the time to write it.

My compliments on a well-chosen article. The author really nails the tectonic shifts taking place in America as they break out into full-blown earthquakes in the form of the public reaction to the passion of Terri Schiavo. Foremost of these, IMO, is the marginalization of Christianity, which comes from government schooling primarily. After a student goes through thirteen years of steady, persistent drills in putting traditional religion into a black box and setting it aside, this inculcated urge to self-alienate from religion weighs on a person for the rest of their life, long after school is but a memory! And the result is a society of incompatible self-asserters that increasingly resembles the Tower of Babel.

Exactly.

"Omega Letter Christian Intelligence Digest"

I doubt it very, very much this piece came from a Christian org. It may be a disinformation organization spitting out disinformation. In fact, I think it is based on what I read.

Anyone with a modicum of common sense who reads this piece, knows it didn't come from a Christian mind.

Unbelievable how easily Christians are misled. And then they complain how and why our Christian heritage is gradually being diluted, disparaged and demeaned.

A twenty-first century rendition of Niemöller's poem would read; "First they came for the unborn, and I was unconcerned because I had already been born." "Then they came for the deformed and defective and I was unconcerned because I was normal." Then they came for the elderly and infirm and I was unconcerned because I was young and healthy. Then they came for Terri Schiavo, because she was disabled and helpless. I was unconcerned because I was awake and aware . . . ." "And so it goes until they come for me."

Has anyone got a better way to phrase this updating?

To justify taking Terri's life to 'free her to be with God' is simply expressing some form of godliness, while denying the power thereof.

Yeah, what's up with this? It is NEVER God's will for one of his creations to be dehydrated and starved to death.

"The court system, proving itself 'without natural affection' ordered her to be starved to death -- with, according to the polls, the approval of a majority of America."

As I watch the nightly newscasts and their continuing coverage, I have noticed that they all lead off with this picture of Terri Schiavo...

I wonder if the polls the MSM refers to would read any different if the replaced the above picture with this one...

or, perhaps this one...

Sadly, I think there would be a big difference in opinion. Especially if you show either of the second two pics and couple that with the possible spousal abuse scenario the family has alluded to in the past.

Just thinking out loud....
