Clearwater, Florida - Judge George Greer admits there was an error in fact in the 2000 trial that established Terri Schiavo;s "right to die."When a family friend claimed a 19-year-old Terri was upset that right to die icon Karen Ann Quinlan's parents removed her from life support, the Judge discounted the testimony, reportedly because the Judge said Quinlan died in 1976.
Quinlan was taken off life support in 1976, but died in 1985. A technical error, yes. But Wednesday afternoon, Judge Greer ruled it was not enough to affect the outcome of the 2000 lawsuit that held Terri would not want to be kept alive with severe brain damage.

what else is contained in the records greer sealed?
The restraining order since then complicates things, though.
>>>He said that protective services was filing papers as a courtesy to Greer, but that they did not need his permission...and that based on the protective services investigation into abuse charges they were prepared to take Terri into protective custody...which is exactly what should happen. Now he hasn't done it yet and the hours tick by abnd Terri grows closer to death.
If he has puit that out there, I can't believe he would not do it. We are all waiting with bated breath.<,,
Jeb said those exact words?
Oh I hope so. I did not get a chance to see the News Conference.
Let's hope the Supreme's are aware of these mistakes.
The least they can do is grant the stay.
fyi
He disregards the testimony that supports the Schindlers contentions at every turn. He's beyond hope. I don't even think he's rational any more.
Can't explain it -- but then I can't explain a lot of other weird things about this case.
When you call someone "HINO" do you imply that it is all right to kill Michael Schiavo but not Terri? Because calling him a HINO certainly clearly implies that he is less than human.
Jeb needs to dispense with the niceties and play hardball with Greer IMHO or Terri will die while they are "discussing things".
This judge should be disbarred.
It is very apt that judges wear black robes. They're the vultures of death.
Don't be ashamed to be an American. The liberals would delite in that. 'Outraged' would be the appropriate word.
I have posted on a few threads about the testimony that Greer disregarded.
This one should be decked out in orange IMHO.
Where?
Another.
Not only did Greer not give permission - he outright issued an injunction barring any possible action.
HINO = HUSBAND IN NAME ONLY
He has been shacked up for ten years with another woman and has two children with her
But of course, he just loves Terri and has no conflict of interest.
