Day 5 going into Day 6 of no food or water for Terri.

Oh, I know. I was referring to his not doing anything via his power.
The political problem for both of the Bushes is that because they tried to save Terri, the pro-death advocates are up in arms, and if they fail to save Terri, the pro-Terri crowd will turn against them. The only way out of this (from a political standpoint) would be to succeed at saving Terri. Wonder if they've thought of this (if politics is even a consideration for them at this point -- I know it has no bearing for me. I see it as a moral issue.)
Amen.
Awww, I'd never flame you!
I don't understand how a county judge could have a govenor arrested. And what cop would have the nerve to do so. Any insight?
He is just delaying the inevitable. If she dies or lives, the whole mess is going to open for examination.
He is ridiculous and needs to be removed from the bench NOW.
With so much controversy, his boss 2nd DCA Cheif Justice Demers should have removed him.
Now Whittemore wants to hear the case again. Someone mentioned that Gibbs wasn't prepared last time and Whittemore practically gave him directions (don't know how true...don't bite my head off).
If that is the case, then maybe this is the second chance for the Judge to say hey...wait a minute.
Thanks!
no the new law was to open the door to the federal court.
The democrats refused to allow language in the new law which said "shall issue a temp injuction". They only agreed to the law as agreed. It got them into the opportunity into the door.
There would be no litigation for years. It would be expidited agains and then you would have greer and whitmore ordering the tube pulled. immediatly.
Judge Greer in his courtroom IS the law. Every judge acts that way and thinks that way and every judge protects the other judges. There is the think blue line and there is the thick black line.
I'm sorry, but if JEB lets Terri die he will be no hero to us. He is afraid! It is times like this that we know what a REAL man is and what isn't!
Hannity online listening:

I also want to know, right now, what any man or woman who has intentions of becoming a candidate for President of the United States, in 2008, who plans to run in the GOP primaries, specifically thinks about this issue.
"How will he just go in and "grab" her."
I was on the same page with this comment:
Disregarding politics:
The ramifications of taking custody of ANY person in such a tightly controlled hostile environment would have to be thoughtfully considered. Accepting that responsibility for someone in compromised physical condition seems foolhardy.

I like your additions!
in subject line -- doing it now. gonna be gone for a little while, back soon.
"Jeb can't do anything. Listen to Hannity."
I am afraid to say that I am not finding anything in the statutes that give Jeb power to go take Terri...but I am surprised that the DCF is being treated like this!
You head will remain intact. :-) And I really hope the rumor is right.
Stop using my brain! ;)
I think Jeb is doing the best he can within the reality of what he has to work with.
If the judiciary is corrupt, you can't just walk all over them - we would have anarchy.
I agree, the bottom line is that neither side is going to give up untill all legal avenues are exhausted.
If anyone lives in the judges county they are free to start a recall petition. The other judges and Greer will reach out and touch ($$$) the local law firms for campaign money.
Judge Andrew Napolotono(sp?) on Foxnews earlier that what the family is doing going in front of Whittemore again tonight will go no where. I honestly hate the guy, but he has been right about every ruling so far. So, I'm sorry but I don't think Whittemore is going to do anything for Terri's family tonight. I only see hope in Jeb and I fear he is not the leader we need right now.
