You said you feel hopeless. I understand how you are feeling. It's horrible and beyond words.
We have to remember, even though it's hard:
Our Hope is in the Lord.
Any hope I had in government is totally gone.
However, that is a good thing. Politicans are not gods. Having said that, I have to also say, I truly believe there are still a few good men left in our Congress.
Men that stood up for Terri. Trouble is, those who could have done something, after the ball was handed to them, did not.
They instead, __Stood Down__.
Rep Tom Daley and Rep Weldon both really tried to help Terri.
Nothing more intimidating than a column of tanks entering town with air cover, eh? Would that mean an appearence of business or what!
Jeb needs our prayers too..am hoping and praying God gives him some of Solomons wisdom
I'm probably in the minority, but I don't think Randall Terry is helping things by making overt threats. We feel angry, and all this will definitely impact who are political and judicial choices in the future .. but I think it's unwise to incite furor in this emotional issue and on this anxious day. I don't think that kind of speech will change the reality of what people are in fact empowered to do or are already willing to do.
what did they use for the Elian grab?
I believe that is incorrect. Terri's family has exausted all avenues. The case before Wittlemore today is the state appeal.
Citrus is their big product..I believe Florida is also a big cattle, beef state too
I am with you on this.
Renos oversized bollocks?
JEB BUSH SAYS HE WON'T VIOLATE GREER'S COURT ORDER
"The requested intervention ... appears to be brought for the purpose of circumventing the courts' final judgment and order setting the removal date in violation of the separate of powers doctorate," Greer ruled Thursday.
Bush said he was expecting Greer to rule against the state and he planned to appeal. He added that he won't violate Greer's order by sending state officers to take custody of Schiavo under a law that allows the Department of Children & Families to act in emergency situations of adult abuse.
Bush's legal team is still frantically poring over state laws to see if there's another way to intervene while appealing Greer's decision. Attorneys for the parents declined comment on Greer's latest ruling. Lawyers for the husband didn't return a phone message for comment.
In his ruling, Greer said an affidavit from neurologist William Cheshire, who believes that Schiavo is "minimally conscious," was not enough to set aside the judgment in the long-running legal case that established Terri Schiavo's right to have the feeding tube removed.
"Theresa Marie Schiavo cannot live without a nutrition and hydration tube and Dr. Cheshire does not suggest otherwise. By clear and convincing evidence, it was determined she did not want to live under such burdensome conditions and that she would refuse such medical treatment/assistance," Greer wrote.
The governor's brother, President Bush, supports Schiavo's parents as they pursue other options to keep her alive, but he does not plan to take any further legal steps, White House spokeswoman Dana Perino said Thursday.

Amen!
I thought Whittemore was reviewing the DCF motion to take Terri into custody???
What the heck is going on?/
I don't think the media even knows AT THIS POINT..
LOL!! Okay- like the media knows much of anything, but still...
bump!
explain please because I do want to understand. I heard something about a improper ruling...do you know what that is about?
Oh, Lord. It's even worse than we thought.
You aren't in the minority.
Thanks, Pepper. :)

-- and DAVID'S courage! I got to thinking about this -- those around David, even on his own side, were largely skeptical and dissing him when he went up with all confidence against Goliath. Jeb or the pres, otoh, has all our prayers for the situation and for him.
Please, Jeb or GW . . . now would be nice. No permission needed, just that this is clearly the right thing to do. Terri is not PVS -- we know that she responds. This is the right thing to do for a little one who depends on you.
Now would be nice . . . but that's my human wisdom speaking . . .
