Fascinating to watch so-called conservatives siding with the "Death to Terri" voters in the House, including such luminaries as John Conyers (D), Julia Carson (D), and Luis Gutierrez (D) -- all members of the Democratic Socialists of America House Caucus. So
'Who's your Daddy?', boo-birds?
Don't bother asking yourself that question because you'll only hurt your brain. And then your friends in the House might want to starve you.

Stop the spin with the 19 judges, everybody here knows that the appellate judges did not retry the facts.
A vested interest does not have to be monetary,by the way.(how pedestrian). Maybe you're really a right to die right to kill proponent.
What am i saying... you are.
Greer is a sadist, no one can dictate such living conditions as he has imposed on that poor woman. And all the world is starting to find out how far Greer and Schiavo have conspired to cause grievous injury to Terri.

Here is Terri's CAT scan, compared to one of a healthy person:

"Don't mistake atheism with ignorance." I wouldn't. I would equate it with the absence of grace -- which is your problem.

You are completely wrong. The appellate court went out of its way and looked at all the facts presented by the Schindlers, and reached the same conclusion as Greer.
Please stop misstating reality.

What you have extensively stated in your post is true.
We would like a simple YES/NO answer to problems in life, and ..... it just doesn't work that way.
That is why GOD gave us the ability to 'judge' situations.
Unfortunately, we would rather judge 'people' than 'situations'.
To: KC Burke
I don't think the appeals court will side with Terri now, or it would have ordered hydration the minute it got the case. Those judges know of her precarious state. Does anyone know the members of the three-judge panel hearing the case? If we know who appointed them, we may be able to tell how they will vote, but then, again, maybe not too. I am surprised that the appeal is lasting five times as long as the original hearing Monday.

OK. I don't perceive the problem. But what does that have to do with whether the Pope will be maintained on life support?

The court made him guardian, despite obvious conflict of interest. He can easily be removed as guardian by another court. He should have nothing to do with her at all, given his continuous abuse of her.
Like denying her access to outdoors, or having her teeth brushed. Please reconcile that with Schiavo creepy statement that :"she will always be in my heart.
How about refusing medical treatment for an infection?? This directly from the words of Judge Greer himself in trialctorder02-00.pdf linked earlier in this thread:
"In 1994, Mr. Schiavo attempted to refuse medical treatment for an infection being experienced by his wife. His unrefuted testimony was that his decision was based upon medical advice. Mr. and Mrs. Schindler filed an action to have him removed as Guardian based upon numerous allegations, including abuse. Mr. Schaivo relented and authorized the treatment after which a Guardian Ad Litem appointed by this court found that there was no basis to have him removed."
He (Judge Greer) wrote this right after declaring that "Mr. Schiavo has been very motivated in pursuing the best medical care for his wife...". You just can't make this stuff up!
I also have the question... just who was this particular Guardian Ad Litem mentioned above. If it was in fact the judge himself who referred to himself as the anonymous title of Guardian Ad Litem, that would seem to me to be a serious breech of ethics. To refer to a Guardian Ad Litem (presumably himself) in court proceedings but not reveal that it was himself seems to me to be intentionaly deceptive. Any thoughts out there?

And where did Terri's parents want her buried?
Did Terri's parents want her cremated?
To: MineralMan
No, actually, it's not. There's not going to be any war over this issue. It is simply not going to happen. No shooting war for sure but the culture war has flamed anew and for all the same reasons. The courts have assumed powers not granted to them in the face of ineffectual legislators.
Like always, when you remove the debate from the square and let the gods in robes decide, you fan the flames of the culture war because the loser feels aggrieved. It is one thing to lose at the ballot box, another enitrely to have judges ignoring or overriding legislatures. That's what pisses people off, no matter which side they occupy.

I'd like a link to that, if you would.

Could you post a link to the supporting documentation? If the cross sections were performed at different radii, this is not a meaningful comparison.

I have already posted it in this thread.

He won't be married in a catholic church, not after the Vatican came out publicly against the Killing of Terri.
The Anglican church may give him a parade however.Surely the gay bishop will oblige.
To: MineralMan
If you think that the Pope will be maintained on artificial life support once it is clear that he cannot recover, you're mistaken. The desire to attain wealth and power affects everyone, including PRIESTS,BISHOPS, potential POPES.
