And allegedly, Terri responds to her mom most of all! How does a brain dead person know the difference between the mom and a hole in the wall?
Some Judges in Fla., if nothing else, are arrogant to the core.
I didn't say incompetent, I just meant not "sharky" enough to swim with the likes of Felos and Greer.
Well if you cannot imagine it,case closed then!
You may be ashamed to be from FL, but I can honestly say that this is the first time in my life time that I have felt ashamed to be an American. I heard somebody say that the other day on a call-in radio show and it made me cringe because I've been thinking that too.
Wonder no more. He ruled all of that type of testimony NOT CREDIBLE.
Terri's parents, Terri's friends, Terri's doctor's. See a pattern?
The only thing from TERRI's SIDE that was ruled CREDIBLE was Michael's claim Terri told him she wanted to DIE (if she were 80 years old and on a heart/lung machine).
"ashamed to be an American."
I'm ahamed to be an earthling!
Here is what the judge said about the testimony of Scott and Joan:
The court has reviewed the testimony of Schott Scfhiavo and Joan Schiavo and finds nothing contained therein to be unreliable. The court notes that neither of these witnesses appeared to have shaded his or her testimony or even attempt (sic) to exclude unfavorable comments or points regarding these discussions. They were not impeached on cross-examination. Argument is made as to why they waited so long to step forward but their explanations are worthy of belief.
Since there is also evidence that she made statements to the contrary, and since the Schiavo witnesses have an interest in the outcome of the case, you decide.
Apart from the fact that they know Terri (she would have been unlikely to talk with strangers about such a topic), Scott and Joan 'have [no] interest in the outcome of the case.' In contrast, the judge found that both the husband and the parents had a monetary interest in the outcome of the case. That is why, in my opinion, he gave so much weight to the testimony of Scott and Joan.
The point that I don't underatand that is not getting the attention of the media is the conflict of interest of Greer acting as Teri's guardian and as trier of fact.
The judge has never acted as Terri's guardian. Her guardian is now and has always been the husband. The judge reviews the conduct of the guardian, but that is part of the judicial role. There is no conflict. That is perhaps why it is "not getting the attention of the media."
YES.
Black people would still be slaves if your process had been followed.
All of it in dispute. The nurses who dealt with Terri on a daily basis tell a different story. These women have much more experience with her. These doctors had 25 minutes and 45 minutes with her, total. Hardly enough time to make a diagnosis which could lead to her death.
Unless, of course, you believe the nurses are lying, perhaps?
In contrast, the judge found that both the husband and the parents had a monetary interest in the outcome of the case. That is why, in my opinion, he gave so much weight to the testimony of Scott and Joan.
Except that the parents had a monetary interest so they could use the money to care for their daughter and the HINO had a monetary interest to use the money to OFF Terri and keep the remainder for his new life.
I believe the nurses and for their testimony to be considered not credible is simply not credible.
You are correct. You did not say I was not praying. But you did imply passivity ("...rather than take a passive role and assume God's will is being done") and further implied I was not a defender of life ("We have a certain responsibility to defend life. What happens outside of that IS beyond our control but she will not die because I passively stood by").
My apologies for misquoting you. And I know how easy it is to misread...or misinterpret....with our passions running so high.
TRUE. Frustration over watching something you know is MORALLY WRONG going on and trying to stop it, and not being able to.
Meanwhile, we have to debate it with posters such as yourself, who ignore the MORAL PRINCIPLES and stick with the LETTER OF THE LAW, even if it is obviously MURDER.
I have no objection to you sticking to your side of the issue, you will be the one to have to answer to GOD why you stood by and watched and supported this.
The more you investigate this case (which I have been doing for over two years) the more it stinks.
There are too many tight little GOOD OLE BOY circles in the JUSTICE/ATTORNEY GENERAL/LAWYER/DOCTORS/SHERIFF personnel in Pinellas County.
It would not have passed. Don't blame the House. They tried. Do blame the Senate full of pathetic RINOS, more than enough when combined with all the Democrats who march in lock step on nearly everything to thwart anything of value.
No sweat -- I made a mistake, once!
"Black people would still be slaves if your process had been followed."
Not so. You may want to note that I also said that people should work to change laws they disagree with. I guarantee I'd have been working to overthrow slavery, had I been alive during that time.
Many people did do that work, and slavery was ended.
And the that of the 18 other judges who compared his decision to the full transcript on appeal. Were they 'sadists' too?
Judge Greer is not a 'sadist' but you are a fool to make such a charge. Have you no shame?
All you have displayed on these threads the last few days ... suggests either gullibility or a vested interest in this case.
Boy, how did you find out? They have promised me Terri's trust fund when she goes to Heaven. Wanna split it with me?
