I've had a letter on my FR page for about 2 months now, all folks have to do is copy and paste, they can email to all their friends asking them to do the same. No one is doing it.

I just looked at it and it gives a laundry list of offenses. Is a legislator apt to be more interested personally in such a list, or in the fact that Greer et al seek to render their jobs obsolete?

Terri's mom just came out on CNN and said they only needed one more vote in the Florida Senate.

We should probably concentrate on this list of 12 and try to change their minds.

Cherly had sent this out earlier, so I'm guessing that these would be the most likely candidates.

The following Florida Senators may not be giving favorable consideration to SB 2128 (the companion now to HB 701). If you can, please hit the phone lines. If you can email, please do. This is to be considered in both chambers today in Florida. We need your help.

I've been asked to relay that the best use of language is something very concise and brief, such as "Pass a law that is constitutional, good public policy and that will protect the interests of Florida's disabled and elderly."

Pollywog said: "Ok I am hearing two school of thoughts here. One is that Governor Bush can take Terri into protective custody.
The second thought is he cannot do this. Anyone care to explain their thoughts on this. This may be our only hope for Terri. Also what about President Bush?? I will feel so let down by my government if these thugs get away with this murder."

Kenth gave a great reply regarding what Gov. Jeb Bush could do and Randall Terry on Sean Hannity said Jeb definitely has the authority to take Terri into protective custody and he does not understand why he has not done so:

As chief executive of the state of Florida, Jeb Bush has a duty to protect Terri, and enforce the protection of her rights.

(Article 1, section 2 Florida State Constitution)

SECTION 2. Basic rights.--All natural persons, female and male alike, are equal before the law and have inalienable rights, among which are the right to enjoy and defend life and liberty, to pursue happiness, to be rewarded for industry, and to acquire, possess and protect property; except that the ownership, inheritance, disposition and possession of real property by aliens ineligible for citizenship may be regulated or prohibited by law. No person shall be deprived of any right because of race, religion, national origin, or physical disability.

Terri's rights are being trampled upon by a group of people using poorly written state law to enact judicially legislated euthanasia. It's pretty clear to me, though there are many who want to use the state's rights argument against her, even here on FR. I can't imagine thinking that a state's rights should supercede an individual's.

The judge ruling that Terri wanted treatment withheld complicates EVERYTHING, though.

Then doing anything to step between her and death becomes malfeasance.

What a clever, evil ruse.

Wow, I wasn't able to listen to Dom tonight.

This means the people have NO VOICE! The judiciary is interfering with the Constitution and the people's voice.

Back in the Elian days, the 11th Court of Appeals started off with some healthy language concerning Elian and his rights for asylum. All of that quickly changed when Clinton/Reno made their raid on Elian. I am not sure what my exact point is, but this is the court that sent Elian back to Castro.

Meant to add, the list shows what laws Greer has violated, they will need to see that and it will cut down the amount of work they have to do. We have seen how hard it is to get something done.

I emailed Governor Bush asking him to please call out the Guard if necessary to place Terri in protective custody. I can't believe he will allow Terri to be murdered! I and everyone I know is sick about this!

Graymatter's got it:

"Gibbs' petition for the injunction also included restraining orders against Greer, Felos, and HINO
In that case it's really incomprehensible that Gov. Bush has not taken Terri into protective custody. If they are all named as defendants, she should be removed from their reach completely, especially when it is obvious and public that they are putting her to death. If there has been any "irregularity" (can hardly believe I'm putting this into words)---which the federal court is asked to determine---that has an end result of death, it behooves the Governor to protect her from any further violation of her rights, and from any further consequences of the previous wrongs."
