This is an unprecedented session. The Congress is meeting to save one persons life (in real time).
The only reason the Democrats are agreeing to this is that they don’t want to be known as the party that killed Terri.
This is American history happening before your eyes.

I worked the polls in this last election.
The elderly were out in the heat standing in lines for a long time. Many buses brought them all from the nursing homes. I had no idea how many elderly people were in my area until that day.
Wanna know what they told me?
I'll sum it up with a couple quotes:
"I won't die with a man like John kerry in office"
"I won't die knowing the heartless dems have taken over my country"
I have an article in a book here telling of a veteran seaman who became unable to communicate in the usual ways until a doctor realized the veteran tapping with a spoon was not random but Morse Code. That doctor was then able to communicate with the patient who could hear but not speak. Unfortuneately no one else apparently was willing to learn how to "read" the code tappings, so the man was tranferred to a nursing home with no hope of communication! Think of his frustration.

D whip Hoyer saying this has been a serious debate but the D speakers have reduced it to demands for welfare reform, black racism demands, feelings, and everything BUT this life and death situation. The Democrat party has treated teh debate with contempt and disdain. They are exposed.

If Terri's father has has the tape since Friday, why wait till now to release it. Why not the second they took his daughter off the feeding tube?
