In so doing it triggers legal or statutory protections for the witness, among those protections is that nothing can be done to cause harm or death to this individual.

Not brain dead. She may not be able to talk, but she sure can smile..

There are plenty of deaf people who can't hear, and plenty of mutes who can not talk...what would you do with them?

How about visiting your local home that caters to the elderly and metally handicapped that are in similar states. Shall we go ahead and pull thier tubes too?

Nor can she swallow. They have tried this by giving her pudding. She began to choke. And it's been FIFTEEN YEARS! No change! After 8 yrs. of therapy!! Give it up already.

She reminds me with the motor skills of a 6 week old baby.

Since she can't feel PAIN, then removing the feeding tube, she won't feel hunger pain.

What I found disturbing was a FoxNews clip showing Senate Majority Leader Frist saying that Terri has never had a brain scan. I think that Frist is being misled in this case, and he will have to eat his words after the upcoming hearing shows how many brain scans has Terri had.

Absolutely, I agree with you. However, the Doctors and the zillions of tests Terri has taken CONFIRMS death of brain. I'll ignore the wolves comment.

You can't prove these were her wishes.

That's your opinion.

When family members disagree on these issues, they have the option to settle the dispute in court. The courts have spoken, and the Schindlers have lost.

Since the Schindlers testified that they will never respect Terri's wishes, they will continue this saga ad infinitum. Even if Terri had a written directive, the Schindlers testified that they will never respect Terri's wishes to be disconnected from the feeding tube.
