**Exclusive Fri Mar 18 2005 00:50:07 ET** The Chairman of the Health, Education, Labor, and Pension (HELP) Committee, Mike Enzi (R-Wyoming) has requested Terri Schiavo to testify before his congressional committee, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned. In so doing it triggers legal or statutory protections for the witness, among those protections is that nothing can be done to cause harm or death to this individual.
bump to your truthful post, First Salute
That is so untrue! I suppose you can attest to this beyond a shadow of a doubt? It has been said that there is no such thing as a perfect murder. The loving husband may prove that theory wrong today!
And you "know" this because....??? Are you working for the Psychic Hotline these days, and speaking to her "departed" spirit? Oh, please.
Hahaha! That is definitely thinking 'outside the box'. Boortz is going to flip if this works. [yaaa-aaah!] At the same time, I must say that Boortz makes a very strong argument, [hello?] if it weren't for the nurse's deposition I'd read.
FReegards.... [hello?]
Michael Schiavo didn't "remember" that she wanted to die until years later, after the money was received from the lawsuit. His statement is totally worthless - a lie. He certainly did not remember it during the lawsuit.
Anyone who would state her spirit is "gone" is a loon who hasn't investigated the case much, or who is one of the death cultists who infest this site from time to time.
All very true, now if we can only get some of the ignoramuses on here to understand that...
Yes! Thank you.
There is a world of difference between "letting" die and "making" to die.
Terri does NOT suffer a terminal disease from which we should "let" her die.
Starving her to death is to "make" her die and it is a terrible precedent to set.
"Because it makes him look virtuous."
LOL - by this time, I dont think he cares much how people think he looks.
"Up the thread a ways you'll see a comment stating that it's a possibility the recent offer of a million..."
These threads have disolved into many different "it's possible" - good thing the courts don't work that way.
I asked this in a previous posting...Is it possible for the President to issue an executive order in this matter and be done with it?
Just saw Bill Frist talking about how she should have a complete neurological examination. I would love to see Michael Schiavo try and explain himself in front of the U.S. Senate.
"That is so untrue! I suppose you can attest to this beyond a shadow of a doubt? "
Prove me wrong.
"It has been said that there is no such thing as a perfect murder."
I think O.J. proved that one wrong, didn't he ?
This is just in from Fox News. Senate Majority Leader is delaying the Easter recess to work on this. Marshalls are to issue warrants, today. Sen. Frist wants her to have an MRI. Developing..... Everybody pray hard that this works. I have not posted much but I have been involved with this issue for a long time. Terri deserves to live.
Well, one presumes that would be YOUR decision for YOUR life. You are not qualified to make that decision for anyone else. Just because you feel you wouldn't want to live that way, don't ASSUME that others want the same. She left no instructions saying that--and in fact, as a Catholic, it's doubtful she would prefer death over life.
Moreover, starving and dehydration IS painful. It's disingenuous (at best) to try to say otherwise. It makes anything you say sound like rantings from the insane. (Or, I suppose we could put it to the test--let's put YOU in a hospital bed, incapacitate you, and starve YOU for awhile...)
I don't know a single dead person who does that, do you?
I'm praying!
"Just saw Bill Frist talking about how she should have a complete neurological examination."
So lets see, the doctors inmplanted that gizmo in her head years ago WITHOUT giving her an examination ?
No. The President is powerful but he doesn't have the authority to sign a letter overturning court decisions.
