"How can people who claim to believe in God do this to her?"

I can answer that.

"Or what man of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a serpent?" (Jesus Christ, the Sermon on The Mount)

I'll never really understand why there are those people out there who would pull Terri Schiavo's feeding tube and give her stones and serpents. Nor do I want to understand; just go away.

It sure does help. I said that I thought that there would be a last minute reprieve. I hope this does it for her.

BTW, you have FReepmail.

No I'm not a Scientologist. You only get to be a Scientologist if you're not quite stupid enough to be a Muslim. Fortunately, I'm smart enough to be neither.

LOL!

should be one more question -

"Is your 'opinion' base on what you KNOW or only on what you THINK you know? (i.e. - have you studied the facts of the case or just swallowed what's fed you by an ignorant press - or the MSM with an agenda?)"

"it seems to me that it is not God but the scientific devices of man that is keeping this woman hanging on..."

"And Jesus answered him, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone.'" (Luke 4)

It is indeed God, not science, Who is keeping Terri alive. And the fact that some of the most powerful Judges, politicians and lawyers in Florida have been trying to kill her for years, to no avial, should tell you all you need to know about Who is the Keeper of Terri Schiavo's life.

This witness needs to be put in Federal custody for her own protection, and moved to a jurisdiction where she can testify. I suggest Washington D.C. for a start.

I may be mistaken, someone, anyone, please correct me if I am, but I believe that Greer has had this case since day one and he's been the one blocking evidence from being admitted. Then when a higher court reviewed it, there was no contradictory evidence.

Greer, if not operating from an agenda, is too emotionally involved in this case and his egomaniacal personality will not allow anything or anyone to get in between him and his decision that this woman must die.

He is not supposed to care. He is to be an impartial trier or fact and law and he is not unbiased. He should be removed from the case and impeached because he is not fit to serve.

Why the rush to murder an innocent woman? ...

I don't know, I'd like to know the answer to that as well. A question that has gone unanswered...Why the mad dash to destroy the Constitution? I thought Liberals only did that sort of thing.

Okay... what section of the Constitution empowers Congress to intervene in this matter?

Section 5 of the 14th Amendment. Look it up and get back to me.

OK. Knowing that, I can't understand why he was re-elected overwhelmingly last November. In the process of saving Terri, there was a movement to quash the will of the people by impeaching Greer, who was re-elected by the people of Florida.

How can people who claim to believe in God do this to her?

Here is why:

24:11 If thou forbear to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain;

24:12 If thou sayest, Behold, we knew it not; doth not he that pondereth the heart consider it? and he that keepeth thy soul, doth not he know it? and shall not he render to every man according to his works?

I am appalled at all those who claim starving this woman to death as an act of compassion, who call murder good, and life bad. Show me the capital crime she has committed and then maybe we can justify her murder - and certainly not by dehydration which not even Scott Peterson will suffer.

5:20 Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

"In hearings leading to Greer’s 2000 decision, three people testified Terri would want to be removed from artificial life support, which at the time of her collapse did not include nutrition and hydration. Since Terri’s collapse in 1990, Florida lawmakers have broadened the definition of artificial life support to include nutrition and hydration. The three witnesses were Michael Schiavo, his brother and his sister-in-law, according to Barbara Weller, an attorney representing the Schindlers."

You notice it's HIS family who heard her supposed wishes. Has anyone thought to subpoena their bank/property records?

Document where you believe anyone is advocating the destruction of the Constitution on this side of the issue.

But here is another question for you since you ignored the first one.

If our lives can be snuffed out by a whim of the state, what frigging good is the Constitution?

When a State exceeds its authority OR ignores its duty, should the Federal government stand silent when it has been petitioned by the people?

We are demanding that an innocent life be spared. Where is the extremism in that?

Okay. Three questions. I was on a roll.

My God, that's an easy one. It's just like here in Pittsburgh.

The devil himself could run and if he has a "D" on the ballot after his name, he'll be elected.

In Allegheny County, the Court of Common Pleas has 57 judges. One. ONE. One is a Republican. Jesus would lose here if he was an "R".

Besides, do you really think that people pay attention to judicial candidates or actual rulings? Don't be silly. There are more important things to do in Florida, like jai lai and greyhound racing and killing handicapped women.

"Yep. Plenty of AlGores on this thread, ready to keep judge-shopping, gaming the system, pulling all sorts of legal maneuvers, obstructing, delaying, obfuscating, getting legislative intervention - all to contradict the legal process which got us here.
Apparently, judicial activism is perfectly fine as long as it's in your favor."

The judge in charge of the rulings in favor of starving her is selectively allowing some testimony and refusing other testimony. So much of the courtroom is drama and theater, and the outcomes are definitely influenced by the individual bias of the judge in charge.

That being said, those who are defending Terri are free to choose to use some aspects of the imperfect legal system against other aspects of the legal system.

There are so many lies and mistruths around here, some of you actually start to believe them.

FairOpinion - after he got $1M for her care, then he suddenly remembered that she didn't want to be kept alive.

Why don't you look at the time line and ACTUALLY read the courts rulings. It's honorable to try and keep Teri alive. But you lose credibility when you lie like a bunch of liberals to make your point. There are so many mistruths in these threads, it's impossible to respond to them all. It's embarrassing. Someone could sell you the Brooklyn Bridge.

Original Court Order: - FEB 2000 [case was filed 5 and one-half years after the $1M was received. And according to the court - By all accounts Mr. Schiavo has been very motivated in pursuing the best medical care for his wife [through 2000].

http://abstractappeal.com/schiavo/trialctorder02-00.pdf

Those monies [the $1M] were received in Feb 1993. …. On Feb 14, 1993 this amicable relationship between the parties [Schiavo and Schindlers] was severed. ….. The parties have literally not spoken since that date. …… The record before this court discloses that should the Schindlers prevail, their stated hope is that Mr. Schiavo would divorce their daughter , they would be appointed guardians or Terri and become her heirs at law. ……….. neither side is exempt from finger pointing as to possible conflicts of interest in this case.

By all accounts Mr. Schiavo has been very motivated in pursuing the best medical care for his wife.

[cajun scpo] Disagree with the ruling. Make the argument President Bush did. When there is conflict, err on the side of life. My guess is Terri 'supporters' have pushed the many of the 58% in the Jacksonville poll to respond with 'pull the feeding tube' with the nonsense and lies floating around about her husband. And the way some talk about Judge Greer. It's disgusting. Disagree. But you don't know him.

http://www.sptimes.com/2005/03/06/Tampabay/Quiet_judge_persists_.shtml

"Are you related to (Josef) Mengele, or just a student?" one man wrote, referring to the ruthless Nazi doctor.

Deputies who fear for his safety escort him to and from work.

That's life these days for Pinellas-Pasco Circuit Judge George W. Greer,

"The really difficult part of this job," Greer said, "is that you can't defend yourself." The world knows so much about Schiavo's life, but little about the 63-year-old Greer. ........... And Greer, vilified by many religious protesters, is a church regular. He also is a conservative Republican in a state whose conservative Republican governor tried to overturn one of Greer's orders.

"George is the religious right," said lawyer David Kurland, a longtime friend.

Friends say Greer's intellect is perfectly formed to withstand the very tempest he now faces. Always calm, not prone to mood swings or flares of temper, unerringly polite, he is not easily ruffled, they say.

But the criticisms sting, friends say. His relationship with his church, for example, has changed.
