It looks like we're getting 98% of the Republican vote
and 40% of the Democrats, which would if continued, give
us slightly more than 2/3, as required under the
special agreement. I don't know how many Congressmen
are present, but if all 435 were there it could be a vote
of 310-120. Please let it be!

The only good thing about the last few days is that people have been FORCED to take a stand on one side or the other.
I've been watching very carefully which people want to use the permutations of the law to SAVE life, and which people use it to seek DEATH.
As awful as the last few days have been, they have brought a crystal-clear distinction to who stands where, and I think we are the better off for knowing.

Yup. That's what they did in Nazi Germany.
Originally they merely gassed the retarded and mentally ill, but too many people started writing the government complaining that they suspected their loved ones were killed, and there was a minor riot at a German town when the busses came to take the retarded to the T4 center to gas them...
So the end result was that 1) those with gassing experience were transferred to camps to take care of the Jewish question (AKA kill all the Jews) and 2) the doctors had to slowly starve the retarded and mentally ill...many died of scurvy/malnutrition/pneumonia/TB from poor diet before they actually starved, so the relatives couldn't know if they had been killed or not...but they continued with special "Starvation" rooms for selected children...you should read Lifton's book on the Nazi Doctors...

C-SPAN callers are heavily anti-Terri. Democrats are using the Republican lines to take the MRS position. Now this Annapolis, MD, "Republican" says she thinks she will be "changing parties" because she is so discouraged that Terri will get her tube reinserted.
