John Lewis did not want us to stay out of Alabama when most blacks could not register to vote. He welcomed LBJ's intervention. But he wants us to stay out of FL when a "white" woman faces a torturous murder. And this man thinks he is consistent?

The tape is heartbreaking. She is working so hard to speak...and she just can't...I had poor audio quality...cheap speakers & dial-up connection...but to hear her voice was too much....I just put my head down on the desk and wept. Her unsuccessful struggle to talk is just unbearably sad... SO much sadness comes through....she tries SO hard....

As radical as he is, Lewis was the "conservative" choice in the Democrat primary when he was elected to Congress in the 1980s. His opponent: pro-communist Julian Bond. That is one of the most liberal districts in the whole country. I guess it is central-city Atlanta, but I do not know the exact boundaries.

All state death penalty cases get a final review in court. Tom Price prayed this morning in church.
