What happens if George W. Greer simply ignores the subpoena? Would the GOP put him in chains and bring him to D.C.? That would create a liberal martyr.
My senators are Clinton and Schumer....how much worse is that than just having Boxer?
I did write my representative, too, though, and asked him to PLEASE COMMUNICATE with Clinton and Schumer, even though I had already sent them e-mail. I also sent my representative the link to The Empire Journal's article regarding Dr. Lieberman's portrayal of Michael Schaivo as an abuser.
Perhaps he may have a "way" to talk to them to get them to listen.....or, he may talk with others who have a "way" to get them to listen (you know, with us just being "peons," and all, it may take an Act of Congress to get certain senators to LISTEN to the facts).
Daring? Maybe, but only because he is really stupid. I envisioned him having late-night sessions with felos and the euthanasia church while they all proclaim greer some kind of god.
Well, he is in jail sort of: he works for a Republican sheriff as the jail nurse! The Pinellas GOP has a lot of inbreeding within its ranks. I wonder if there are any "conservative" Republicans in the Pinellas leadership: they all seem to be "Greer Republicans." People forget how popular MRS is. C-SPAN was flooded with MRS types Saturday calling in for "death with dignity," whatever that is.
I don't know, but this is the reason they are passing this law for her.
He has ignored EVERYTHING in this case and still is able to dictate that she die. That is NOT how the system is supposed to work. This is an abuse of the system.
He is subject to arrest like anyone else, and in fact, I don't believe for one minute that he would be a liberal martyr. He is an embarrassment. A judge who rules without hearing cases???
This is the importance of transferring this to the Federal Court. They would not listen before, now they have to and I believe that the SCOTUS is far enough removed from this mess to rule without bias.

I don't know if we can call him "stupid." The Pinellas Co. Republican and NY native is still winning this Sunday morning "so far." And he thinks DeLay will fold, or the U.S. Supreme Court will quash his subpoena. Can Anthony Kennedy alone quash the subpoena? I also wonder what people in Sacramento saw in Anthony Kennedy.

Michael suddenly "remembered" Terri's wishes SEVEN YEARS LATER!!!
On Nightline this past week, he stumbled badly trying to answer the question of when Terri told him her wishes. He sounded exactly like someone lying.
You had to see it to believe it.
And this is a husband who is supposedly fighting a one-man crusade to fulfill his wife's deepest wishes???

Good point, but, remember, American liberals smell only what fits their cause. They are more cause-driven than conservatives, who have trouble sensing the evil they face.

Yes, I think George W. Greer is arrogant. He may not be personally arrogant, but he is certainly "judicially" arrogant, if that is a proper expression. He has "blind faith" (legally blind, you know) in the power of the judiciary always to "be right."
Did you ever find out why the so-called CA GOP won't engage Boxer? She must be really popular out there. I bet she even gets some conservative support because she is so fiesty like a true "boxer." And Bill Jones essentially just put his name on the ballot, didn't he?
LOL! Wasn't that just the biggest slap in the face to the Schindler's - having that witch announce to the world that Terri's feeding tube had been removed? Wonder if she and the monster are going to Church today with their kids - ON PALM SUNDAY!! While Terri is starving to death and Terri's REAL family members are in agony.
