Rice pointedly declined to rule out running for president in 2008 on Friday during an hour-long interview with reporters at WASHINGTON TIMES, top sources tell DRUDGE. Rice gave her most detailed explanation of a 'mildly pro-choice' stance on abortion, she would not want the government 'forcing its views' on abortion... She explained that she is libertarian on the issue, adding: 'I have been concerned about a government role'... Developing late Friday for Saturday cycles... MORE...
Good luck.

>>>Well, now, you know Bush isn't a real, true conservative.
Maybe not, but he's a damn good president.
And to my second cousin, once removed, who was actually Princess Dianna's love child by Rock Hudson...
I wish more women here felt like you dear.
Not if it gains her 4% who wouldn't have voted for her otherwise.
Do you?
I do. It means vague. It's like the liberals who will not really say what they stand for but put out 'vague' instead. It's doublespeak.
It's: maybe I don't really believe in anything, but I can't say that. I can't say I'm pro-life because I'm a woman; single, childless and I do get the final say on what happens with me. I can't say I'm pro-choice because, who knows, maybe I could be on the Republican ticket.
A few more words from her and this guessing game would no be necessary. She could have said how she thinks and feels about abortion.
Are all of you in this thread really closed minded to a black woman President?
Wow.
I'm curious why you think Condi is qualified to be president. She hasn't been a mayor, governor, senator, congressman, councilman, or in any position of leadership in government. She hasn't been the owner or CEO or manager of any large, medium or small business.
She has been successful at what she has done but not in anything which has, before now, thought to be preparatory for being President.
While it is true that President of the United States is an Equal Opportunity Employer(so to speak), it is not a position where affimative action applies. So the idea that it's a woman's turn to be President, or a black's turn to be President or a black woman's turn to be President is ludicrous.
But you think that being a black woman somehow qualifies her. And who ever doesn't agree with you is closed minded. You have introduced the race card, and the minority card, and have illustrated why Condi will not be the next President. There are simply too many people who think like you.
Never realized there were so many fools like you around here.
>>>I would happily vote for Ashcroft.
You and a rare few. The dems would make mince meat out of his breast phobia.
It's a heartbreaking thing and I've seen two women go through it. They got sicker and sicker and one was already a mom of a little boy who would have been orphaned had she not made the decision she did.
I said what Condi would allow.
Isn't he/she/it...?
Abortion is not the ONLY issue in 2008.
That doesn't count.
But he was still THERE, & those who support our Constitution. limited government, protecting our borders, the life of the unborn, & American sovereignty should have voted for him...& yet most folks who say those issues matter to them voted for President Bush? God help us!!!!!
What can I say, it's the truth.
That's not how I read it.
Wasn't she saying she's a Libertarian on this abortion-concerned about the governments power?
Or did she mean her general philosophy?
Did the evangelicals not vote or something? I guess I didnt get the memo because I voted.
Just because you don't have such material or care to divulge it over the net doesn't make you a liar, but, on the other hand, failure to come up with any evidence at all does nothing to support your debate point.
And yes, I'm that hard. No doubt the pro-choice folks sometimes mean well, and they really do want to have no more abortions than are really necessary, but to me their positions, feelings and standards are nothing more than targets for debate points. Pro-choice people do not have real emotions and should not be treated as though they do.
