Rice pointedly declined to rule out running for president in 2008 on Friday during an hour-long interview with reporters at WASHINGTON TIMES, top sources tell DRUDGE. Rice gave her most detailed explanation of a 'mildly pro-choice' stance on abortion, she would not want the government 'forcing its views' on abortion... She explained that she is libertarian on the issue, adding: 'I have been concerned about a government role'... Developing late Friday for Saturday cycles... MORE...
Nice try. But no cigar.
Being pro-life is to actively support the protection of innocent human life.
The War on Terror is at its heart a Pro-Life Cause.
The 9-11 terrorists had exactly the same regard for human life as an abortionist does. Same goes for the terrorists blowing up IEDs in Baghdad, or killing women and children by blowing up buses in Tel Aviv.
Why don't you knock off the attacks on pro-lifers?
She's alive because she had an abortion.
And your statements just prove how ignorant you are of the real world.
Did you vote for Bush? His views are probably what Condi is referring to when she says she is "mildly pro-choice."
McCAIN [to Bush]: Do you believe in the exemption, in the case of abortion, for rape, incest, and life of the mother?BUSH: Yeah, I do.
Don't vote for party. Haven't done that since I was a Democrat.
It'll never happen.
To quote the Keith Green song "A Billion Starving People":
I find it hard to just ignore
the murdered unborn children.
Yes, times have changed, but still God warns,
"You shall not take a life."
I want to save a life today,
I want to keep one alive for my Father--
Who will avenge the blood
of weak and helpless ones someday,
whose lives are spilled out like water,
lambs in the slaughter,
and each one is handmade by Jesus.
You are kidding, right? I guess you've never heard her speak.
The President also said that the country isn't ready to overturn RvW because people's behaviors need to change first.
People who insist on being exclusionary are no friends of the conservative movement. After all, politics is about addition.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
But the question was...."Would you vote for a "mildly" pro-choice Republican over a Democrat?
If her position on abortion costs her 2% of the vote, she loses.
Are you unaware that South Carolina is Bush Country? And this is what Bush stands for re abortion:
(George W.) Bush has said he is opposed to abortion and would support a constitutional amendment making the procedure illegal - except in cases of rape, incest and when the womans life is jeopardy. Source: Associated Press Jun 14, 1999
What's the matter, don't you like to be faced with the real life consequences of what you're demanding?
Where did I say what I would allow?
At this point I would be quite happy to overturn Roe and let the states fight it out for now. The Blue states would continue to kill themselves off I'd reckon.
The only thing that will end it permanently here is probably an amendment to the Constitution.
I'm too old to see things relative anymore. Abortion is killing to me. Wartime casualties while on occasion lamentable are different. I'm arbitrary about it admittedly.
Hey Howlin -- If you're going to be a cartoon character, at least be funny.
This ISN'T.
"Mmmmmm.....our own!"
That's right. And I do think that technology is allowing people to see it's not a blog. It's a baby and it's alive and feels pain. And it's changing hearts and minds about abortion. And that's good.
But in the interim, those few exceptions are important to woman and will always remain important as long as they are the ones carrying children.
