Fulton Co. Judge shot and killed in courthouse shooting (BREAKING Fri 9A)

This is a breaking news situation.

A man entered a courtroom in the Fulton County Courthouse this morning and shot a Fulton County Sheriff's deputy, a clerk and a judge; there are reports from both WSB and WAGA, the judge is deceased.

The perp has carjacked multiple vehicles -- now on his third -- and is still at large.

I've just come from downtown Atlanta, and the city is a madhouse.

Monica Kaufman just said ONE block from where it was carjacked.
They have been looking for the Green Honda Accord for what? 12 hours now with the resources of 100 or more law enforcement agencies.
Gotta love the ATL. Competence abounds.
Well at least the suspect is narrowed down to a bald 6' tall 200lb Black man in his mid 30s he shouldn't be to hard to find.

Now we wait to find out who didn't come home tonight. From the trail he left so far, odds are good he now has a new vehicle and a hostage.

What really disturbs me the most about this incident is this:

• This perp blows thru the "best" security.
• Does it in the most "secure" city
• Does it alone
• No apperent training
• Makes so far clean get away.
• Cops clueless

I don't think he was a convicted felon. His trial was a hun jury and he has not been convicted. He probably worked there till he was arrested.

If you put it in the upper levels (and not the roof) of a parking structure, it's not going to arouse attention. There's millions of green Hondas running around, and the police aren't going to conduct a building by building search when they think he's running. They might be able to figure out what he left in by reviewing the sec-cams from the parking structure (haven't seen a large one that *doesn't* have one covering each entry and exit in years).

Smarter than the average bear, this guy is. Hope all you Georgians are locked and loaded and sleeping in shifts tonight...

I missed this guy carjacking cars by about five minutes. Mind you, the Accord has been found in a garage across from my wife's office building.

That was simply the last reported carjacking. If he did another one, he probably still has the victim and a very real possibility is that he's at their house as a hideout.
