This is a breaking news situation.
A man entered a courtroom in the Fulton County Courthouse this morning and shot a Fulton County Sheriff's deputy, a clerk and a judge; there are reports from both WSB and WAGA, the judge is deceased.
The perp has carjacked multiple vehicles -- now on his third -- and is still at large.
I've just come from downtown Atlanta, and the city is a madhouse.
OR he could have driven into someone's garage, pulled down the door, and holding the resident hostage. Then leave under cover of darkness, probably on back roads. Helocopters wouldn't spot him then. Nothing is beyond him.

One time one of our cats got loose at the vets and hid behind some small cannisters. She's short, but really chubby so it was like you or I trying to hide behind a sugar bowl. She looked really surprised, too, that the vet actually was on to her little scheme.

Atlanta has a large Asian population (Buford Highway comes to mind)... what is "medium complexion" for THEM?
And, as black-heavy as Atlanta assuredly is, there ARE quite a few whites there as well... what is "medium complexion" for them?

His best bet would be Canada. They will only extradite if he's not given the death penalty. Not that it would make that much difference in Georgia. I think they've executed only 30 on death row since reinstatement in 1977.

No, as a northerner , our police say Black, white, hispanic or asian. There's no need to micro manage racial skin color hues.
My father used to talk about how Georgia molassas makers would determine the grade by color. He said they would go by the darkness of various black women in the community, so if a light complected woman was named Ira, and the molassas was the same color as she was, the molassas would have obtained the color and grade of Ira.
I have no idea if this is true or not. My father was a big BSer. But it's a great story.
Actually she will probably be OK. Bullet glanced off her skull. Doctor's described "bruise on her brain" and some light damage to her face. She'll need to be watched of coure, but likely she'll recover fully. Although I imagine she's got a heck of a headache.
WSB Radio (when I was out earlier) described him as a "black man with a medium complexion..."
And what are they going to do? Lynch him?

He would stick his head under my arm, leaving 17 pounds of Siamese butt plainly visible on the examining table, and believe he was "hiding". Every so often he would pull his head out from under my arm, HISS at the vet, and quickly stick his head back under again.
We just went ahead and gave him his shots. He didn't seem to mind.
