This is a breaking news situation.
A man entered a courtroom in the Fulton County Courthouse this morning and shot a Fulton County Sheriff's deputy, a clerk and a judge; there are reports from both WSB and WAGA, the judge is deceased.
The perp has carjacked multiple vehicles -- now on his third -- and is still at large.
I've just come from downtown Atlanta, and the city is a madhouse.

I thought the earlier presser was the Sherriff's dept., and this one is the City police.

Any one heard HOW MANY ROUNDS does this perp have in the gun? Assuming a Glock 22, 15 in the gun, and the possibility that he may have taken a couple magazines from the same individual he got the gun away from, so possibly 45 total.

Speaking as a woman.....I could not agree with you more. Most women would not be in the physical condition to restrain a wild man much less one who is in very good physical condition.
Might I add that from the photos I am seen of most of these deputies hanging around the courthouse, none of the men would have been in physical condition to restrain him either.

Speculation: Ditched the first gun in favor of the one off of the dead deputy outside.Makes sense. Then he would have a fully loaded gun again.

The reporter was pistol whipped during a carjacking so we're pretty sure the perp has a gun. My guess is that he has one deputy's gun and the other gun found at the scene is the second deputy's who was killed outside the courthouse.

How on earth can the police say they're not sure if he's armed?

I'm going to be flamed by some feminists, but only idiots and political correctness nuts would put a woman deputy in charge of a big male thug like this. FYI...we have some female CO's in NJ that could kick the crap out of Tyson in his good days.
...and quite a few of them are damn sexy!!!!
I can only post this...because she decided not to break my arm.

Fulton Co. Sheriff - "There are alleged allegations about an alleged misplacement of an alleged object alleged by an alleged spokesperson allegedly with my alleged office, but I allegedly cannot veryify the allegation. Keep in my mind, all this is just alleged, your mileage may vary, remove wrapper before heating."The FulCo Sheriff made Chief Moose sound like a prize winning orator.

He could very well be monitoring the chase on his car radio and taking back roads to get out of Atlanta if he hasn't already done so.

"Could he be in another state by now?"
"That is possible."

Aw jeez - reporter just asked if any of those killed were able to make a statement!!
To: sarasota
They kept saying he "pistol whipped" some guy and took his car so I assume he's still armed.
To: Dog
Betcha LE knows if he took the weapons from the judge or others that he shot. They also would know the round expelled and how many remain most likely.
But PC would dictate LE hiding that knowledge from the public - we can't have more citizens carrying or using their own weapons in public. Paint the picture that he's unarmed to cut down on the armed citixen factor. Geesh.
To: beaureguard
You have got to be kidding.
To: All
They are now saying the female may NOT have been shot. "Some other method".
He shank's her and takes the gun perhaps?

If a big guy told me to get out of the car or he was going to kill me, I don't care if he has a gun or not...I'm gone. Uh ... I'd just run him over... or take him on a very bumpy ride.

I have no problem with female deputies, but just be smart about it.If you have a 220 pound dude, bring backup for god's sake. I'd say do that regardless of the deputy's gender. I don't think it should ever be one on one.
To: lugsoul
I thought the earlier presser was the Sherriff's dept., and this one is the City police.Agreed, but I was under the impression that this guy is the deputy police chief and not the actual chief.
