About a year ago, the Centers for Disease Control issued a highly publicized report stating that obesity-related health problems kill 400,000 Americans every year -- an "epidemic" second only to smoking in causing preventable deaths. The story was big news. A host of outside skeptics, however, such as the Center for Consumer Freedom, questioned the findings, and their efforts eventually forced the CDC to admit that at least part of the study was flawed. Now, despite even more critical evidence, the CDC says its mistakes don't matter.

the only thing worse than a liberal is the spawn of one----- the bottom feeding bureaucrat.
the 'second-hand smoke' thing sounds like something johnboy edwards dreamed up. there has NEVER been a single conclusive study to prove it.
Do I hear a public school education ping here?
Never let truth interfere with one's agenda.
I heard some very interesting things on talk radio this morning concerning an oxygen/ozone treatment and the amazing curative it is for viruses as well as such things as Strokes. Does anyone here know anything about it?
Word is that the Drug Companies have squashed news of it because it's easy and cheap..no drugs involved.
Apparently the whole world knows about it including that third world cesspool, Cuba.
IT's a mixture of 98% oxygen, 2% ozone. It can be administered in different ways...not thru air passages, however.
First chance I get, I'll try to Google and search it out. It sounds incredible. It basically cleans the blood of toxins and viruses. It is only administered thru Natural medicine outlets here in the US.
For strokes, it must be done within 2 days of the stroke..the sooner the better.

Here's some more proof that they want to kill us all with their bogus lies:
The American Medical Association will KILL You!
Last year JAMA (Journal of the American Medical Association) admitted that doctors are the third leading cause of death in the U.S. Personally, I think the statistics are on the low side. I wouldn't be surprised if they're the leading cause (remember that old saying, "doctors bury their mistakes." And those mistakes often don't make it into the records. I've seen it.
53,000 deaths caused from second hand smoke?
The anti-smoking zealots believe they can get away with saying or doing anything if the subject is smoking. This proves they can't if we remain vigilant.

Oh, no! In the case of the decline and fall of CDC, the politicians are giving their constituents exactly what they want-junk science, crusades, and PR.
GREAT post......theres so much bureaucratic BS in this issue
its disgusting.....plain and simple
-saturated fat
-trans fat
-simple carbohydrates (High-Fructose Corn Syrup, white sugar, etc.)
Should include:
-protein
-complex carbohydrates and fiber
-polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats.
That probably is oversimplified, but it is a heck of a lot better than what is taught our kids. If America concentrated on those simple guidelines, we would be a heck of a lot healthier and thinner than we are now.
"A good diet should eliminate:"
Sounds like The Zone.
Why do taxpayers subsidize cheese for the poor, with its high fat content? Why not just give them a single-shot gun to kill themselves with?
I heard something and have been trying to find it. But I'm not having much luck.
Lots of diets include similar recommendations, including the Abs Diet, the Makers Diet, etc... It's very sound advice.
This is nothing. You should read the real truth behind the Pharmaceuticals. You want disgusting???
