"Adaptation" was a horrible movie... just as an aside.
Adapatation was a great movie. Just an affront! :-)

She seems really down to earth too.

Kate Winslet also should have won for Titanic rather than Kim whatsherface for LA Confidential.

LOVED Cate in Elizabeth! She was great there but Gwyneth Paltrow was the thing that made Shakespeare In Love such a fun film to watch.

Hah! You all are lightweights. I gain weight from pictures of food in magazines before I even open the magazines. I have gained weight from recipes printed in the Food section just glancing over them. I gain weight just by listening to people talk about gaining weight. So, would you all please not talk about gaining weight?

Her mother isn't black, her mom is about as white as I am.>>> That's some funky hair for a white woman then.

I guess he was expecting The Aviator to win. I know I was. But I'm glad a science fiction film finally won the best screenplay award.

speaking of abortion, is Michael Moore even at this event?

I can't even remember who it was now; looked like Swiffer dusters. Yeah, that's the one. Dingy gray color. Probably from mopping up all that dust. I still can't figure out how these designers get away with this stuff. Don't remember the name of the actress either. Just that disaster of a dress.

Thanks for the update...I do think "Passion" should have been nominated a couple more times, perhaps for "Best Picture" or "Best Actor" for James Caviezel. I recently saw "Aviator", and thought it good but not great, and it got what...7 nominations?. Can't say I have been really impressed with a film since "Gladiator"!
