Keep up the good work Sean!
If you're taking flak, you're over the target!
Bombs away!
Geesh....did you tie him down with a pigging string, or what?
Cut his fingers off? Something else?
Or were you really mean...and took his keyboard away?
Ah. Yes, I miss Sabertooth. We disagreed with each other on occasion, but he always tried to make his case rationally. He rarely went overboard on any of the threads I saw, and when he did it wasn't usually too unbearable.
I have noticed an unusual virulence toward Sean Hannity among some Freepers here. Insults, sneering, jeers, that I have seen directed at no one else except maybe Hillary.
I can't figure it.
It's like there is a group here whose one job it is to form a jeering mob to attack Hannity.
He's an an excellent host.
He doesn't advertise his book any more than Medved does, he doesn't interrupt people any more than any other talk show host does, doesn't advertise Ruth Chris' any more than any other talk-show host advertises certain clients ---he has great people, chooses first-rate topics.
What's the big deal? I find the concentrated virulence directed at Hannity over the past year passing strange.
If there is a group interrested in driving Hannity away from FR they've done a good job.
And now for the porno-vultures that come flapping in every time there's a porno thread...
Got any proof or links?
Thanks, JLO.
Demonstrates that his advertising led to some crossover business.
"Just put in the keyword "OPUS""
Geez, I didn't think my posts were chasing them off. Is my writing really THAT bad?
OK! Everybody, go to your rooms and think about what you've done. After you've thought about for awhile, come back out and tell me what you or Sean has done wrong. Let's all try to play nice! Or, come out swingin'!
Exactly. Unfortunately, good ideas concerning immigration seems like it ought to be important enough for FReepers to think rationally before posting. We all need to get our brains together on this one, then use our system to make positive changes. Or we can just keep complaining while things get worse.
Now I'm going to say something REALLY unpopular. I liked TLBSHOW too. He wasn't the intellect Sabertooth was, but he was a sweet guy. I felt sorry for him when the attacks got really personal against him. If I remember correctly he was banned for a violation of the rules and then came back briefly. He was ruthlessly targeted and chased out, imo. I never like to see someone ganged up on. Now I'm in BIG trouble for saying all of that.
I'll confess that I had to take a break from FR a while back. That was my issue though, and not the fault of anyone here. I just lurked for a while before returning. But I've always thought this was the best place on the web. It can be brutal sometimes, but I've learned to toughen up just like dirtboy was talking about. It's a good thing really.
Great Job. I think the forum got the respect you and it deserves. Sean means well, no question that his heart is in the right place.
Jim Robinson you are a great American! Sean you are too! But please Sean weigh your words more carefully. :)
Sorry, didn't mean to dump on you. :)
Surely you jest.
Still, I miss Saber.
I think he realized he painted with a broad brush. I'm glad he talked about this.

Not to mention that every time we try to use a physical means of keeping the illegals out, some "human rights" group or other teams up with some convenient (and conveniently overlapping as far as membership and funding) "environmental group" to sue. These cases remain bogged down in litigation for years, while WE argue amongst ourselves. Talk about eating your own!
Best suggestion I heard all day.
I saw section9, either today or yesterday. The name stuck out in my head because of it's meaning.
