The pack charges out howling at the suer, attacks and smears those who take a second look at the actual situation. Reminds me of the insanity here re that Dad who took his little kids to Kerry rallies, got his child to wave a Bush sign, and a baddie tore up the sign. Man! There were self-described "snake-eaters" who were going to provide that Dad with 24/7 protection, people who sobbed about the trauma to the kids, yada, yada. A handful of posters out of hundreds and hundreds recognized the foolishness of the father. My son also took his kids to rallies with Bush stickers--but they were Bush rallies.
As earlier stated, who knows the relationship between the slug and the sob sister sheriff...maybe he did his grocery shopping at the Durango Food Bank

I don't believe anyone was hiding in the shadows particularly for any malevolent purpose. After not getting any response the girls left the cookies and returned to their car. But Nutbag's imagination had gone into high gear by then and her fantasies took over.
You were supporting the insane response from one who DID purpose shooting first and asking questions later. Thus it is good to here that you aren't as wussied up as he. Although it is difficult to imagine a man reacting that way other than a lily-livered liberal.
The offer to pay by the parents was just an act of kindness and in no way appropriate but since Nutbag sensed weakness it was never forthcoming since she wouldn't forego other predatory attacks through the legal system, sometimes known as Shakedown Central. Any judge in his right mind would have thrown the case out and charged Nutbag for court costs.
