These people are doing their best to muddy the water about where it is they stand on this topic.

Valuing life is the exception for the life of a mother or rape or incest,” he said.

Paraphrased: "Valuing life is killing an innocent baby for the crimes of an adult."

Your correct in your conclusion, not your in your premise. The Protestants vote far more morally then the Catholics, even the Mormons went for the pro-life candidate, Bush got his biggest majorities in Utah, and the Protestant Bible belt. He lost big in the most heavily Catholic state, Rode Island. and other northern states with heavy Catholic concentrations.

Hillbilly,

Do you reply to questions or not? I posed a few to you earlier.

Also, why do you want to paint Catholics in a bad light? What is your point? Since this is a website for conservative viewpoints, why can't you realize that liberalism and conservatism cut across religious lines?

Is there some agenda that you would like to publicly announce?

Thats a good quote -- *almost* as good as his "I actually lost the election by the least compartitive amount by a democratic canidate when runnining against an incumbant at a time of war, and if you look at 5 of the battleground states and give me 2% more votes, I actually won the popular vote" on MeetThePress last week

I think the analogy drawn between John Kerry and Spock is more apt than anyone realizes.

I'm starting to believe that he's descended from a race of Vulcans, rather than Frenchmen.

The Catholic church has always been joined at the hip with the demoncraps in an unholy alliance throughout the last 100 plus years. I remember when i was a kid hearing the parish priest tell the congregation to "vote demacratic' As late as the 1950's that wasn't a moral issue since the radical leftist baby killers were not in existence. Neither were the gay marriage wonks and other assorted moral trash purveyors.
However the lefties and the demoncraps are now one and the same, and the church hierarchy got infiltrated by fellow traveler left wing activists so this unholy political alliance continues which trumps the moral stands that the church claims to have. The people who profess the Catholic faith should rise up in righteous anger over this. Where were the bishops denouncing skerrys weaselly pronouncement justifying his vote in favor of partial birth abortion? The bosses of the Catholic Church were deathly silent. This is moral malpractice. They ought to be replaced by people who will take a stand for the unborn.

Simply stated, rampant liberalism, and its associated beliefs are diametrically contrary to Biblical principles and is precisely un-Christian. Any leftists who live by that creed are promoting sin. Examples: homosexual marriage, promiscuity, abortion, socialism etc etc

Regardless of what you heard as a child, no parish priest or bishop of today can tell the congregation which party to support, and has to be careful when giving any kind of advice involving politics. The backlash from the IRS would be catastrophic.

You asked, "Where were the bishops denouncing skerrys weaselly pronouncement justifying his vote in favor of partial birth abortion?"

Have you ever heard of Archbishop Myers? How about Archbishop Burke? They both took a stand, along with other bishops. Have you ever heard of the Catholic League? They've made their views public. Ever heard of SpiritDaily.com or EWTN.com? Al you have to do is navigate to their sites to see that Catholics have no 'unholy political alliance' with the DNC. Go to Defide.com - a case has been presented to have Kerry excommunicated.

You are not nearly as informed as you think you are, and you have no moral high-ground from which to snipe.

???? I do not know about that -which protestants do you talk about -are you simply asserting a specific group of protestants?

Protestants are all Christians other than Catholics who assent to the Magisterium. If one sets aside the teachings of the Catholic Church they set themself outside the Catholic Church e.g. Luther -therefore the pseudo 'Catholics' you bemoan are actually protestants...

The 'true' Catholics you supposedly like are here on FR...

OK..here we go again. Coming from a family of half Protestants and half Catholics I can tell you there is very little difference in the "moral" standing of either group. Some of the Catholics I know attend church regularly, pray frequently and live a generally disciplined life. Some are the exact opposite and some are somewhere in between. The same goes for the Protestants...they are all across the board on what counts.

These bible brick cessions I run across here on FR are just plain ignorant because each group just does not know how much alike they really are. SO Stop it!!!

Kerry’s remarks came in an interview on NBC’s ‘Meet the Press’. “The discussion is not about being pro-abortion. The discussion is about how you truly value life. Valuing life is also valuing choice. Valuing life is the exception for the life of a mother or rape or incest,” he said.

Anyone even modestly informed about the issue will know that this dog won't hunt. After turning handsprings for Roe v. Wade for three tragic decades, there's no way the 'Rats can "re-invent" themselves on this issue, try as they might. Only the most gullible will buy into this latest charade.

I remember some of the pundits doing postmortem on the 'Rats after the last election and the issue of "talking values" came up. The pro-'Rat pundits (which was most of them) were near-unanimous in their advice: the 'Rat candidates needed to learn how to "speak the language" about moral values. The conservative commentator blew them away with one comment: instead of just talking about morals and values, the 'Rats would be better served if they had some.
