I think the RATs know it is a question that cannot be answered because, as the Iraqi prez said, that would be insane. Therefore the RATs are free to keep asking the question and make it look like the pubs aren't playing it straight. Of course that strategy can only suceed when the MSM is party to the fraud.

The problem with that is that it may just turn into a lame partisan stunt that would take away some of the value of the symbolism away from the Iraqis. Its risky and I think it reeks of attention whorishness.

I am completely against it. It cheapens what the Iraqis did.

The Dems are setting themselves up for another bashing on that one. They keep droning on about exit plans, bring the troops home, etc.

Stupidly, they don't realize that Bush is going to do just that---next year as we're gearing up for the mid term elections! There'll be all those lovely shots of wives kissing husbands, new babies born since Daddy went to Iraq, little boys wearing his helmet. Proud Moms & Dads.

And Bush will certainly make a few appearnaces.
