The pre-spin: Bush will spend about 1/2 the speech on foreign policy, 1/2 on domestic, with heavy emphasis on Social Security reform. It's said he will provide a detailed tutorial on the SS system and its problems with a few details on his personal accounts proposal.
Laura's guests are said to be an Afghan voter and an Iraqi voter (too bad there's no Ukrainian wearing an orange hat!).
Should we start a drinking game on how many times the pool camera swings to Hillary? Hmmm. Probably not...it would likely hamper out typing ability.
Word on the blogs has it that the closing part of the speech is a hum-dinger. Set your VCR's.
Report here on outrageous MediaCrat spin before AND after the SOTU. Pictures and screen caps welcome.
I agree. And I think we should too.
You're joking, right?
Or have you been away on a space voyage? ;o)

to "W's" too. He had a hard time keeping 'em back
Joe baby. I don't think you understand this Pres....
He also gives our troops lot;s of credit - by hot damn, those folk stood up to be counted when it counted! Under great danger...wonder how many of us would've ...
Thanks, Howlin! Interesting. Wonder if there'll be a change after the address.
Getting ready to watch the rerun of the SOTU on Fox. Got to the energy policy being debated for 4 years part and had a medical emergency with our 20 year old cat. (Could have been the loud clapping)...Didn't get back until almost midnight.
Seeing this backwards is no fun. :(
I'm watching the replay on Fox (I watched earler on CSPAM) and I have to say that the Fox camera had a MUCH better angle on the President as he worked his way down the aisle, I'd always thought that they used pool cameras for this, but I was wrong.
Ahh... You didn't by chance call the Mark Levin show on WABC tonight, about 7:55, did ya?
(steely)
I watched the replay on CSpan and missed the play by play here "live"..but I am going to watch again on Fox..Sorry about your kitty.
Thanks, MEG. She's resting comfortably at the clinic and we'll pick her up tomorrow....so it's good news for now.
Good..
He's also brainless.
LOL
that would be the first smart things they've done in decades
There was Sean putting up all of Kennedy's remarks and expecting LIEberman to comment on them.
The entire segment was having LIEberman bash Kennedy.
Made no sense at all.
LIEberman went along with the plan but it was painful to watch.
How about some intelligent considered thought for a change.
It's one thing to 'gotcha' a guest with their own remarks, but the point of doing that with someone else's remarks made no sense at all.
Every single person I know who has seen it has been overwhelmed by the depth of emotion it evokes.
Krauthammer's criticisms were petty in the extreme. Dare I say his criticisms were 'pedestrian'.
And don't forget Kerry bringing arms to the Khmer Rouge.....
And Ron Reagan's only claim to fame is that he bashes the President on EMBRYONIC stem cell research because his father had Alzheimers.
The ink stained figure was used in the Palestinian election as well. I recall complaints from some of the politicians that the ink could be washed off and a person could vote more than once. It was simply blathering but most seemed to have missed the fact that the ink stain is common in elections in other parts of the world.
A little point lost on most.
I have to agree with you about LIEberman....there was a time before 2000 that I actually liked him...I believe to this day he sold his soul to algore when he changed his position on a number of issues...I will not forgive him for that...even though he supports Dubya on the WOT.
