breaking on msnbc
The good news (well, relatively speaking) for those who were injured in this crash is that the site is located practically within walking distance of the Hackensack Medical Center, which houses the regional trauma unit for this part of New Jersey.
It doesn't look good for the driver of that automobile.
Its a Canadair, and absolutely not a MD83. And it did not just come in from LAX. You might want to check your facts before you post next time. have a great day.
My apologies, TbV, but as a former journalist and current writer, it is in my nature to speculate and propose possibilities for anything that is going on, especially post-9/11
Well... sounds to me like you should be a current MSM journalist with your speculation of the worst kind. Even the MSM on TV right now aren't speculating terror yet. I mean GWB seniors private jet crashed and everyone didn't jump on the terror bandwagon then did they? Let's just relax for a couple hours shall we and let this thing play out.
He wasn't talking about THIS plane, only a plane where he saw icing in non-freezing temperatures.
And maybe you should read thru my posts, idiot.
I was talking about my personal icing experience and in no way was implying this was associated with todays accident.
READ before you post.
TRP, RBA was responding to a question I had posed about an icing incident that happened elsewhere. That was not a reference to today's accident.
Speculation is necessary to try to make sense of unusual events and I for one appreciate it since my knowledge of plane function is limited.
I should have had fun with this one. Maybe I should have posted it was a Challenger Ultralight that clipped an albatross and bounced off a stolen fuel tanker that was on its way to NYC...
What the heck is wrong with people on here anymore??
If I were on any kind of broadcast medium I would be responding quite differently and much more judiciously. I consider this an open forum where all ideas are discussed, debated, shot down brutally, etc. I remain open to all possibilities, but I'm just throwing that one on the table for discussion.
Thanks for your input.
Oh yea it was. I saw on the news where this was an MD83, and B747-300SP and an AN-124 that all 3 collided fighting for position to land at Teterboro. ;)
LOL

Private Jet Crashes Near Teterboro, NJ Airport-Report
12 minutes ago
Add to My Yahoo! U.S. National - Reuters
NEW YORK (Reuters) - A small corporate jet slid off the runway at the Teterboro, New Jersey, airport, crossed a highway and crashed into a low building, local media reported on Wednesday. Eleven people were reported injured and two missing.
CNN and local radio said the plane appeared to have veered off the runway, crashed through a fence and crossed the highway early in the morning before hitting a clothing warehouse. No employees were present.
Video from the scene showed at least one damaged car. CNN reported that 12 people were on board the private plane. ABC News said 11 people were reported injured and two were missing.
NBC quoted an eyewitness as saying he had seen four people exit the plane after the crash, including two pilots, one of whom appeared to have a broken leg.
An unidentified witness told the network: "I just saw a big explosion, smoke, flames."
The witness initially thought a school next door to the warehouse had been hit.
"Chaos, flames, smoke, it was mass confusion," he said.
CNN said the plane was headed for Chicago's Midway airport and was a Challenger CL-600 registered in Dallas, Texas, to Alliance LLC.
It was a logical question as there have been several incidents of lasers being shone into cockpits AT Teterboro airport.

Perhaps this aircraft was used a tax shelter. Who are the real owners?
I don't know...I read thru your posts and didn't see anything to set anyone off..maybe he/she is just having a bad morning.
Boy, that's awful.
Since it's a tax firm's plane, I would expect maybe they were involved in the NAACP/ IRS situation. Perhaps this firm was hired by the NAACP to assist them in the investigation.
So yes, obviously, this is Bush's fault/ sarc.
