The jet is a CL-600 Challenger manufactured by Canadair LTD. It is owned by a tax consulting company in Dallas.

Perhaps this aircraft was used a tax shelter. Who are the real owners?

The Alliance 448 jet that rolled off the runway in Atlanta last year - a Gulfstream 3, not the one that crashed today - was carrying Magic Johnson as a passenger.

There has been some controversy recently about NBA players investing in aircraft.
