More and more good folks are finding out about Terri and that judicial tyranny would take her life, but for lots and lots of prayer and non-stop lobbying of relatives, friends, clergy, our leaders, the media, a passerby, a cashier - ANYONE who you feel comfortable chatting with.
Folks always want to know how can this be in America or on earth for that matter? Unfortunately, this is really happening to an innocent woman who just celebrated her 41st birthday. She's not the only one but she's the one with devoted parents and siblings who knows what's in Terri's heart. Terri has a strong will to live. That's apparent. It's been 14 years.
Besides, feeding tubes have been around practically since the Civil War. They are not high tech devices. Terri is "not hooked up to machines". Her feeding tube is the diameter of a piece of spaghetti.
Talkin' about Terri is the best way to lobby for her. It is a salespitch to save her life and subsequently, many lives. If you've never sold anything in your life, START NOW. START WITH TERRI.

AGAIN WE HAVE A NEW RECORD: 15,103 views on the tote board for the Terri Schindler Schiavo January Daily Thread!
The most significant event in Terri's case in January, was the Supreme's Courts refusal to hear Governor Jeb Bush's appeal, after the Florida State Legislature struck down Terri's Law. This once again places Terri's life in extreme jeopardy, though there are other issues regarding her case before the court.
The power is that many, many people from all backgrounds, locations, interests, walks of life are doing whatever they perceive they can do for Terri, in big or small things. This effort is undergirded and surrounded with so many prayers and the realization that this is not simply a human effort -- and how awesome to see answers to those prayers!
I continue to pray for open minds and understanding hearts, for people to rise up esp. from that community, and for many more people to join in one big "NO!"* -- in whatever ways we can, with statues or without.
* NO as in "we don't act that way in this state, this country, this world".

FIXING THE WHEELCHAIR and letting Terri leave her room(prison) would save her life because people bring their disabled kids to Hospice for the Vigils and those parents often say "My kid right her is in worse shape than Terri is."
That broken wheelchair is IN VIOLATION OF THE GUARDIANSHIP STATUTES and that alone could trigger a DCF investigation. I imagine the broken wheelchair may be part of the secret complaint received by DCF. How could it not be? That is neglect.
Oops, apparently need to add, "with chickens or without"
God Who hears our prayers and has everything in His Hands can deal with chickens. If someone on the outside has a problem with a chicken or a statue, then they have a bigger problem, are just looking for excuses to pick us apart. Heaven forbid we help them out and eat our own (not meaning the chicken here, either).
The vigil NEEDED that chicken, and it needed each person who was compelled or motivated to be there. Everyone has a part in this.

Who filed this secret complaint, what's its status, and can the DCF do anything about it - anything that would give Terri more time - in the three weeks before her execution date as set by Greer?
Someone yesterday made the stupid remark that God wanted Terri with Him and we were in His way. What a stupid thing to say!
My God is evidently bigger than theirs. My response was:
If God wanted Terri RIGHT NOW, there's nothing man could do to stop Him. That alone gives me pause enough to think He has a reason for her being here. Still.
God does indeed have everything in His hands!
I'll be gone for the rest of today but will keep lifting Terri in prayer.
I don't think a serious discussion about strategy is a diversion, it is important.

Don't leave. Everyone is on edge and some REALLY stupid things are being reported as truth. Passions rise and then people snap at one another. Terri needs everyone as her life depends on it.
And do not forget who is behind Michael, his lawyer, Greer, The ACLU, etc..., it is the Devil himself!
If Terri died a natural death tomorrow I'd be more at rest with all of this, but when I mean natural I mean God called her home, not Michael.
Oh, yes, and the battle is enjoined between good v. evil in this place of malls and sports teams.
Michael's refusal to allow her to take anything by mouth--even a communion wafer--should speak volumes about Michael's beliefs regarding Terri's abilities. No matter what you think Michael's overall motives are regarding Terri, his refusal to let her parents try to feed her makes no sense unless Michael is afraid that they might succeed. If Michael is telling the truth about Terri being unable to swallow and about Terri's wanting to die, neither he nor Terri would have anything at all to lose by letting the parents try to feed Terri.
Perhaps someone can come up with an explanation for Michael's behavior which does not contradict his being an honest person, but I haven't been able to come up with one.
The DCF's investigation is entirely secret except that the parties know the contents of the 11 or so page papers they filed with J. Greer. They are not indicating the source of the allegations that prompted a new DCF investigation. DCF asked for a 60 days period to investigate but J. Greer only gave Terri until March 18th which on Friday was 21 days to "wrap things up." Greer should be impeached yesterday.
I agree re the statue: it's okay at the vigils, but bearing in mind that persons of all beliefs are in this fight, perhaps not best to bring it to the forefront.
I agree, the fact he isn't allowing DCFS to do their full investigating speaks volumes IMO. I think first thing tomorrow Jeb Bush should do something about this asap and I think because if Greer's decision DCFS should take over Terri's care and trump Michael and Greer!
