More and more good folks are finding out about Terri and that judicial tyranny would take her life, but for lots and lots of prayer and non-stop lobbying of relatives, friends, clergy, our leaders, the media, a passerby, a cashier - ANYONE who you feel comfortable chatting with.
Folks always want to know how can this be in America or on earth for that matter? Unfortunately, this is really happening to an innocent woman who just celebrated her 41st birthday. She's not the only one but she's the one with devoted parents and siblings who knows what's in Terri's heart. Terri has a strong will to live. That's apparent. It's been 14 years.
Besides, feeding tubes have been around practically since the Civil War. They are not high tech devices. Terri is "not hooked up to machines". Her feeding tube is the diameter of a piece of spaghetti.
Talkin' about Terri is the best way to lobby for her. It is a salespitch to save her life and subsequently, many lives. If you've never sold anything in your life, START NOW. START WITH TERRI.

AGAIN WE HAVE A NEW RECORD: 15,103 views on the tote board for the Terri Schindler Schiavo January Daily Thread!
The most significant event in Terri's case in January, was the Supreme's Courts refusal to hear Governor Jeb Bush's appeal, after the Florida State Legislature struck down Terri's Law. This once again places Terri's life in extreme jeopardy, though there are other issues regarding her case before the court.
Yes I agree with the age but it was most definitely the House, not the Senate.

Fraud on the court? Or is it fraud IN the court?
That’s the question in the Sixth Circuit Court of Pinellas-Pasco Counties in Florida in the case of Terri Schindler-Schiavo.
Circuit Court Judge George W. Greer is making a mockery out of the judicial system with his blatant disregard for the U.S. and state Constitutions and the Florida statutes----in particular the laws concerning guardianship.
Greer has been acting as judge, jury, attorney, guardian ad litem in the Schiavo case as well as witness for the plaintiff in the case, Michael Schiavo, the estranged husband and guardian who seeks to have the court impose a verdict of death upon his wife by ordering the removal of her feeding tube.

Greer has been acting in the role of both judge and guardian ad litem in the case, refusing to appoint an independent guardian ad litem---a prohibited role that would render his orders null and void by statute.
Attorneys for Terri’s parents, Mary and Robert Schindler who have steadfastly opposed Schiavo’s efforts to achieve a court-imposed murder, have argued that Greer has a conflict of interest in acting in his dual role of judge and guardian ad litem in addition to violating the brain-damaged woman’s Fourteenth Amendment right to due process.

The last thing Greer has ever dispensed from his court is due process. Sounds like grounds to me ... who will pursue this judicial abuse??? Prayers AND ACTION for Terri!!!

I don't post here much but was reading this thread. I also recall the woman you are speaking of...that during the debate for Terri's Law she mentioned that she had helped write the 1999 law and said that they never meant it for a person who was brain damaged, rather someone who was comatose. Could you be thinking of House Representative Heather Fiorentino?

That a shortcoming of a democratic system: the lawmakers can always say they "never meant it" when the system fails poor folk like Terri Schindler. I am not impressed with this lawmaker's concession of her own failure.
Terri burst out laughing at this! It was wonderful to hear, but I think many people would not understand the sounds she made as laughter.
But in my experience with people who have cerebral palsy, their laughter often sounds exactly like Terri's.

There's no doubt that Terri communicates .. to the BEST OF THE CAPACITY SHE HAS, directly correspondent with the lack of remedial therapy she's received. So, no one can look at her and compare how she communicates with how a healthy person can communicate, yet that's the bunk that Greer has swallowed .. hook, line and sinker. I get so furious when I hear MS repeat his lies from years ago: "there's no brain there," "there's nothing there."

"Due process" is in the Fifth Amendment referring to criminal matters and in the 14th Amendment requiring the states to provide due process in criminal procedures. George W. "Haman" Greer, a "civil" court judge, can therefore act in a criminal way and come off as popular as ever with "we the people."

We're forgetting, TR, that George Felos was in on the writing of this law as a learned Consultant, and you know how smooth he is. This woman was truly contrite.

But no higher court in FL will challenge the popular George W. Greer, reelected last summer with 65 percent of the ballots of "enlightened" FL voters.
Being contrite is fine, but it usually reflects adversely on the naievete of the affected one. Has the woman tried to correct her "error"? I don't know about this particular lawmaker.
I witnessed it happen many times on this earth .. either way, it's out of our hands, but I believe in this life or the next, you will be visited with loss and pain for the pain and loss you've caused others.
I didn't see her show this time, but I've been very disappointed in the past with her soft interviewing of Felos and his minions. She never contradicts any outlandish allegation they make which only leads the viewing audience to believe Terri is a in a coma, a vegetable, and doesn't deserve to take up valuable space. Sure, Greta is about the only one who's following the story, but she could do a much better job.
