TERRI SCHINDLER SCHIAVO FEBRUARY DAILY THREAD 2005: TERRI IS OUR VALENTINE!
Free Republic and various sources | December 30, 2004, January 31, 2005 | Florida Voter

Posted on 01/31/2005 9:14:49 PM PST by TAdams8591

*Michael, HAVE A HEART !!!!!For Valentines Day give Terri back to her MOM & DAD, The Schindlers!!!!!!!!*

The Terri Schindler Schiavo Daily Threads are created month to month as we watch local and national news regarding Terri and her family.

Since Terri's supporters are in every time zone, you may see something FIRST. Please share news with us that you don't see here already. Now, why would you want to do that? Terri's Daily Thread for September/October of 2004 was viewed over 15,000 times. Terri's November Daily Thread was viewed over 6,000 times. December's thread is over 3,000 views. January 2005 Daily Thread was a RECORD HIGH!!!!!!! 15, 103 VIEWS!!!!!!

More and more good folks are finding out about Terri and that judicial tyranny would take her life, but for lots and lots of prayer and non-stop lobbying of relatives, friends, clergy, our leaders, the media, a passerby, a cashier - ANYONE who you feel comfortable chatting with.

Folks always want to know how can this be in America or on earth for that matter? Unfortunately, this is really happening to an innocent woman who just celebrated her 41st birthday. She's not the only one but she's the one with devoted parents and siblings who knows what's in Terri's heart. Terri has a strong will to live. That's apparent. It's been 14 years.

Besides, feeding tubes have been around practically since the Civil War. They are not high tech devices. Terri is "not hooked up to machines". Her feeding tube is the diameter of a piece of spaghetti.

Talkin' about Terri is the best way to lobby for her. It is a salespitch to save her life and subsequently, many lives. If you've never sold anything in your life, START NOW. START WITH TERRI.

See Terri's flash movies if you need more information. You can see for yourself that's she's interactive and follows the doctor's instructions.

Visit: http://www.terrisfight.org

NOTE: Terri's December Dailies are noted as a source above. There are lots of important links at the very top of that thread. If you missed Terri's Celebration of Life, you can click on it from there.

AGAIN WE HAVE A NEW RECORD: 15,103 views on the tote board for the Terri Schindler Schiavo January Daily Thread!

The most significant event in Terri's case in January, was the Supreme's Courts refusal to hear Governor Jeb Bush's appeal, after the Florida State Legislature struck down Terri's Law. This once again places Terri's life in extreme jeopardy, though there are other issues regarding her case before the court.

We have a presentation for lawmakers if you want it for the fed level. Some have already received it.
Lots of medical issues and ethics, evolution of ethics, funding of hemlock, name changes, etc. We put it together a year ago to educate lawmakers.

"There are just too many conflicts of interest with so many state politicians on the Boards Of Directors of hospices and nursing homes. Death is big business there."

Since there are so many elderly who retire in Florida, from a business perspective, it makes sense for the death industry to establish it's national headquarters there.

I said that recently in a letter to the editor I sent off to some Fla newspaper. But so far they have not printed it.
I also said we need to redo Florida's image, and make them into a death state.
Something like Florida, the Sundown state.

Mine were pretty receptive to the idea of sponsoring a bill to stop dehydration and starvation for the disabled who cannot speak for themselves.

Richard Burr
and
Elizabeth Dole

Perhaps uou could send your information directly to them again. I'm sure some of them have heard about Terri. I've called them before too, but now that it is in the national headlines a lot more than before, we just might get one of them to sponsor new federal legislation.

It is really, really weird. We don't seem to have THAT problem here in PA or I imagine in most other states.

I just can't fathom why they didn't print it.

Instead of orange trees, we could make trees with skulls on them. MORBID but it would certainly be more honest and help change Florida's image.

In my humble opinion, it gets too HUMID there anyway.

I would like to remind Ed Beck (Opinion, Monday 2/21) of the fact that the gods of Medicine and Science were incorrect in their decision that the cerebral cortex of Karen Quinlan had been destroyed.

Some ten or more years after the autopsy it was finally revealed that in fact, her cerebral cortex was in quite good shape after all. And yet, Karen Quinlan exhibited what I would consider to be far less ability than that clearly shown in the online videos of Terri Schiavo.

It's wonderful that Ed Beck can be so sure that Terri is in a state of PVS, and that she will not suffer from the horrors of death by dehydration. I recall, however, that in the 1970's or so we were doing surgery on newborns with no anesthesia, because we believed that they could feel no pain.

I find it horrifying to read how closely Ed echoes those from a not-so-long-ago time, in his assurance that PVS is a reason to dehydrate someone to death. A living person who smiles, breathes, and laughs, who has not even been given the chance to feed or hydrate herself, is dehumanized to the status of useless eater in the space of a few paragraphs.

I have little doubt that Terri will join her predecessors, Hugh Finn, Christine Busalacchi, Nancy Cruzan, Marjorie Nighbert, and the hundreds like them who never made the news.

Ed is in the right business for our time, that of making people die before God or their bodies do it first. And he seems to be in the right state to run a booming hospice business, as well.

It is not the Schindlers for whom I feel "heartbroken", however. Hope, love, and the willingness to care for someone in a time of need were once considered honorable traits in our society. Whatever happens, the Schindlers can always be assured that they chose the path of honor and nobility in their actions.

The state of Florida now bears a new stigma, which is not being missed by those of us living elsewhere. Destin will not see my face or those of my family again.

Yeah the guy who emailed me back about it was barely civil. I can only wonder if his family is in a tourist business.
