One of the biggest changes in politics in my lifetime is that the delusional is no longer marginal. It has come in from the fringe, to sit in the seat of power in the Oval Office and in Congress. For the first time in our history, ideology and theology hold a monopoly of power in Washington.
Theology asserts propositions that cannot be proven true; ideologues hold stoutly to a worldview despite being contradicted by what is generally accepted as reality. When ideology and theology couple, their offspring are not always bad but they are always blind. And there is the danger: voters and politicians alike, oblivious to the facts.

I love it when a plan comes together.
Bill Moyers has no ideology. He is the voice of reason. Everyone else is a wack job.
Bill's hatred for all things Republican is consuming him alive.
Watching leftists be consumed alive by fire before our eyes.
In other news, High Priestess Rice called for a Fatwa against the heretic Bill Moyers.
No Bill, it's not the first time in "our" history. You forget that that democrats held power for way over 40 years in Washington...this is simply the first time in "your" history that the Republicans hold power.
Gotcha!
I think it's nice the Star-Tribune is letting the mentally handicapped help write the newspaper...
Oh I quite agree: for instance, the atheistic idea that God does not exist... and the Soviet 5-year plans that never seemed to quite deliver what they promise...
Oh, sorry Mr. Moyers, you are not talking about failed communism and socialism? My bad....
You're going to love this.
We can eat his despair like it was ice cream.
Moyers just can't quite get it.
"It is hard for the journalist to report a story like this with any credibility."
Bingo.
Typical liberal projection.
Reading the entire article, it gets worse. Michael Savage is right. Liberalism is a mental disease.
Actually..moyers is insulting to garbage..
LOL...well, there IS no tomorrow for those like Moyers... only yesterday. They're hopelessly stuck in the 60s and the world will be better off if they stay right there. (This man thought the world of LBJ, for pity's sake...you can't get more delusional than that.)
He needs to follow Dan Rather's lead and RETIRE.
I don't know what is worse:
A) Moyers behind a keyboard excreting his drivel.
B) Moyers behind the wheel of a car driving drunk.
