California...More Conservatives than Texas or Florida?
US Census, Election | 1-30-05 | Bob J

Posted on 01/30/2005 11:40:42 AM PST by Bob J

Attention all you CA bashers, particularly those of you so filled with jeolosy about the Golden State you can't help posting ignorant and provincial comments.

We won't mention that CA gave this country Ronald Reagan or that this state passed, by wide margins, propositions to eliminate bi-lingual education and restrictions on benefits to illegal aliens. It wouldn't be kosher to mention we just tossed a liberal/socialist Governor out on his derrier. We won't talk about how Free Republic was created in CA, that the first activism chapter was in LA or that the very first DC Rally (The MArch for Justice in '98) that helped launch FR activism around the country was planned and organized in CA by Californians. Let's not compare the size of its economy with other states (If CA were a country, it would have the 7th largest in the world), and that the taxes paid by Californian's pay for much of other states infrastructure projects and welfare benefits. That would be piling on and not a fair fight.

How about we keep it simple and just compare raw numbers of conservatives. According to the latest census and election results in '04, CA has almost 15 million of us, compared to 12 million in Texas and only 8 million in Florida, the next 2 most populous states.

Let me post that again...

Conservative Totals

California - 14.9 million
Texas - 12.7 Million
Florida - 8.3 Million.

Read it and weep..it ain't braggin' if it's true.

So you keyboard cowboys who hate everything and never get off your butt to make something happen, take your ignorant and spiteful comments about CA falling off into the ocean and put them where sun don't shine.

To be honest, the conservative cause could do a lot better without you than without the 15 million conservatives in this state.

Texas also gave us Lyndon Johnson and Ma Richards, every state has a few skeletons in the closet. The difference is Californians don't throw them in your face, we appreciate and encourage conservative progress wherever we find it.

Now if the San Francisco problem could just be fixed, maybe the Boxer rebellion could be fixed.

If we took away voter fraud the numbers would be much higher.

44.28% of Californians voted for Bush.
Let's not push the numbers...

Requested a transfer every year, but the Navy just kept me there. On the bright side when I was Ships Company we were normally deployed about 10 Months out of the year. ;^)

Reagan was President Screen Actors Guild, California.
Governor twice - California. Though he was born in Illinois, he made no mark there.

As an aside, the conservatives are marginalized because they have a litmus test - abortion. Most conservatives are fiscal/government (imo).

The California that gave us Ronald Reagan and Prop. 13 no longer exists.

It does exist, however, the coastal counties overwhelm the rest of the state. Look at the election map.

We can not influence because we are a one party state which
consist of Democrats and RINOS. The recall went thru with no help from the state Republican party which spoke against it in the beginning. When they saw that it would not work and the recall was going thru, they brought in AR NO. Until, we conservatives take our party over and kick out the RINOS, the state of California will always be socialist.

Texas also gave us Lyndon Johnson

Arguably the worst damn president this country has ever seen, or at least in the bottom 5.

We have Julia Carson. Not as vocal, but definitely in the gunk at the bottom of the barrel.

Half my family lives in CA, and they are all part of the Conservative #'s you cite. So I really wish no ill on the State as a whole.

Very true and I wish you the best of luck. The easiest way to unite a people is to present them with a common enemy.

Still not gonna live there. Ever. If there are 15 million conservatives, then there are 25 million liberals.
