The derailment in this Los Angeles suburb was near San Fernando Road and Chevy Chase Boulevard.

Prayers offered for all invlolved.
For three years my daughter rode the Metrorail from Upland to the L.A. County High School for the Arts. I don't ever remember a derailment before.
This sounds bad
What a tragic morning
Two of the worst cars in one area are completely triaged. Hopefully these numbers won't rise much.
Did I hear FOX news correctly?
I thought they said it was 2 commuter trains plus a cargo train that crashed ??? 3 trains?
that is right. 3 trains.
Indeed, prayers for all.
For those of you listening to FoxNews, the word is "Los Feliz", [ las feel ez ].
I can't get the "24" plot out of my head. Hope Jack Bauer does not show up....
Thanks for confirming.
A switch could have been in the wrong position
Yes I just heard that also.
I wonder if there are shared tracks there with the freight lines or what the heck happened???
I know what you mean...
It will probably get much worse. The fire captain said 4 passenger cars were derailed in this wreck and each can hold up to 100 people. Not known if that many would be on the train at that hour, but my guess is it would be close to that.
Jack Bauer on his way to the scene.
Claremont Bible Chapel was the one reason I would have considered moving to the area after 9 long weeks of working in Pomona in '98. That wonderful group of people made me and my family feel at home right from the start.
Red Cross is beginning to be allowed in. One need is twenty blankets for the walking wounded. As I understand all of the cars have been searched and plans are in place.
I hope the numbers stay down.
I don't know which is worse, a LOT of radio traffic or silence.
Using Costco food area for ambulatory it appears.
