I wouldn't be shocked if that occurred.

The minute you affix an exact time/date to the transfer of domestic security operations, you're giving terrorist groups like Tawhid and Jihad and Ansar al-Sunnah the capability to calibrate their ruthless strikes with an even greater degree of precision/accuracy.

I couldn't believe that bloviating twerp from the Brookings Institution, Michael O'Hanlon, who made the imbecilic suggestion-yesterday, during an interview on NPR-that President Bush make it explicit to the Iraqis-presumably, he doesn't include Zaraqawi, among other barbaric international terrorists, in this equation-when we will be withdrawing American forces from their country.

This is a recipe for disaster.

It's one thing to explicate a clear time line to the Iraqis, delineating when we will hand over non-military sovereignty.

However the idea that giving our enemies a goal post to shoot for is going to improve conditions in Iraq is simply ludicrous.

Speaking of upcoming elections and determination of Iraqis to vote.

Enormous sacrifices have been made to the goal of freedom.

We'll honor the memories of the loved ones who have been lost by completing our mission.

Brings up Social Security so we don't pass on a bankrupt system.

Terry Moran. Hopefully asking if the terrorists will succeed in scaring enough people to keep the election from not being successful.

President says he thinks there will be a successful election, and he is impressed with the bravery of the Iraqis.

Says....We anticipate a lot of Iraqi's will vote. Some are intimidated, but surveys show Iraqi's are eager to vote anyway. Heartened by Allawi's strong words and determination. Appreciates the UN's leadership on the ground. (huh?)
Some of you look at me with a blank expression when I say Iraqi's will vote for their leader. lol!

Mentions he anticipates the confirmation of Gonzales.

First question: Insurgents threatening to kill voters. Will this make the election seriously flawed?

Answer: Vast majority want to participate and some are feeling intimidated. He urges all who wish to vote to do so. These terrorists do not have their best interests at heart. Spoke to Allawi yesterday.

Answer: Says if I had say 3 years ago there would be elections at this time many of you would look at me as you're looking now, with blank expressions.

Someone who asks for a credible turnout number (hoping they can get a number which they can carp on later.) President doesn't take the bait.

The cowards in the MSM who hide behind their bylines don't understand the concept of bravery.
