55th Inauguration And Day's Events - Live Thread
She was noticeably missing today.
Speaking of people missing today.
Was the lovely Ms. Boxer present?
Actor Mickey Rooney waves from a fire engine during the inaugural parade in Washington, D.C., January 20, 2005.
U.S. President George W. Bush reacts during the inaugural parade in Washington, January 20, 2005. Bush was sworn into his second term of office earlier in the day. First lady Laura Bush and her mother Jenna are at left.
(I'll bet that reaction was for a Texas group. He's sure enjoying them. LOL)
Thanks
Quick, turn on Fox to see the AWESONE Megan Kendall !!!!!!
Don't know, I didn't see her. I don't remember anybody on the thread mentioning seeing her. She sent a statement to the press saying that she wasn't feeling very "celebratory".
Yes, Megan is stunning - Hey, I put out the notice first ... :-)
Thank you so much for posting that photo. I was so proud of my nephew..I was in in the Corps of Cadets at A&M 24 years ago (as was my brother..his dad....back in '74) and loved it when we wore our Class A's, especially when I was a senior because of the boots. I was watching C-Span too and it was great when they showed the inside of the reviewing stand while the Aggie band was marching by, Bush 41 was up front and giving thumbs up to them, he has 'adopted' A&M since they put his library there. I can't wait to get the full report from my nephew of the whole experience..they get to go to a ball tonight so it should be lots of fun.
Yes, I've seen several wonderful pictures of him and Lynne today. Lynne looks radiant, just beautiful today.
Did you see the VP when he was waiting, when he winked and gave a little grin to someone not visible. Good thing he'll never wink at me like that, I probably would have fainted! Be still, my beating heart.
Nope, sorry. I read it here on FR.
Jenna wasn't yawnin' when she had her arm around ME !!!
I understand! But, trust me, I am no troll!
Is this the official thread for the inaugural balls as well?
Yes. Virginia Tech (VT) as in Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (VPI&SU), yes, that university does have some great people.
My son was in that group! (BTW...it was 1300 cadets)
"We only check in with the other networks occasionally to see how they are covering the president."
Now there's a gal with perspective. You go girl!
And I'm so jealous!!!
She is so smart she makes me so proud.
MSNBC and CNN showing the LIVE inaugural ball with the President.
Fox is not covering it.
