Same to you. Blacksburg is a beautiful location, and the University has some great people.

Weren't the VMI's great?
I figured out what I could do in the parade. I could be one of those people who walk behind the horses with a shovel.
I'm really good at picking up animal droppings.

Thank you for putting in words what we all are thinking. Bless you.

Not me, my brother marched in 3 corps. He got me into Drum Corp music back in the 70's when he used to come home from practice playing his cassettes over and over and.....
Still listen to a lot of old Blue Devils, Madison, Capitol Freelancers, Garfield(aging myself here), etc. Great stuff. Not so much into today's DCI though. Too "theatrical" for me. But still admire their abilities and talents.

I meant they dress that way to get into the crowd...then just wait for a crime to occur...

Remember 27th Lancers and what about the Bridgemen? Or Santa clara's famous bottle dance? I've watched it now and then today (PBS usually runs the DCI show), but, it's lost it's military style and is now all dance and showbiz. I go back to the 70's.

Let me know if the picture is showing up. It might be in my cache.

Hey Jim did you see Fox News just do that segment on the moonbats who protested against the President?

It makes sense, but there are some jobs that only a few can do. Thank God someone finds the guts to do them!

Never marched in one, but found the DCI contest on PBS in 1976 or 1977 and have been watching it ever since. One of my science nerd friends was drum major of the marching band in High School and spent the summer after he graduated with a DC up around Chicago. He had some very interesting stories to tell after that summer.

I saw it--moonbats indeed!
