DAMASCUS -- Former Democratic presidential candidate John F. Kerry met yesterday with Syria's president and the senator said he hoped that strained US-Syrian relations could improve, provided Washington seized ''a moment of opportunity" available in the Mideast.

The United States has accused Syria of doing too little to stop insurgents from infiltrating into Iraq to attack coalition forces. Washington also has imposed sanctions on Damascus, accusing it of seeking weapons of mass destruction and hosting Palestinian groups Washington deems to be terrorist organizations. Syria denies the accusations but says it cannot fully control its porous border with Iraq.

Looks like 'ol 'Long Jaw(n)' is following the Jesse Jackass/Rumsey Clark/Dan RATner template. Kerry loves to deal with the enemy.

“ ...13-year-old Mustafa al-Nabulsi approached him with a drawing of the senator as a soldier in his Vietnam days.”

Yeah... they still love him at that war museum in Hanoi too. I guess he's a soldier... 'winter soldier'.

Madame Binh, Daniel Ortega, Bashar Assad... just a few more creepy characters to go before JF-in'K supplants Jimmy Carter as America's favorite unauthorized ambassador to totalitarian regimes.

History repeats... Why is John Kerry ALWAYS so enamored of the enemy?

It has been stated that many of the insurgents in Iraq come from Syria.

Personnally I'd prefer to see some of the old-fashioned tools of American diplomacy applied to Syria (and France too):

" ...The American Counsel in Tripoli, William Eaton, correctly gauged French complicity with the Dey of Tripoli.
After publicly flogging the French Ambassador, Eaton departed for the desert where he joined Lt. O'Bannon's Marines detached from the U.S. fleet. "

History repeats... Why is John Kerry ALWAYS so enamored of the enemy?

Because he hates the freedom America stands for.

Kerry is trying to set a base for his run in 08. When we win the war in Iraq, Kerry will say it was his visit to Syria and other Mideast places he will visit that done the job, and the MSM will stick to it like flies on honey.....

Thank you Ohio INDEED!

Which inspires this morning rendition of...
(drum roll please)...BLUE STATE LAND (sung to
the tune of 'Dixie':

- Oh, away out there in the Land of Blue States...
President Bush is who they hate...
Look away...look away...
Look away...Blue State Land!

Oh in Blue State Land, they voted for Kerry...
Of Republicans...they're always wary...
Look away...look away...
Look away...Blue State Land!

[Refrain]

Oh they wish we all were Blue States, (No WAY! No WAY!!!)
In Blue State Land, that's their big plan,
To turn us into Blue States...
No way...No way...No way we'll be a Blue State!

- Up in New York State they vote Democratic,
Alive or dead, it's automatic...
Look away...look away...
Look away...Blue State Land!

Minnesota, Michigan, Illinois are Blue...
They're all now crying 'boo-hoo-hoo'...
Look away...look away...
Look away...Blue State Land!

[Refrain]

- At LamBERT Field, Kerry said 'please'?
Wisconsin answered with Blue Cheese...
Look away...look away...
Look away...Blue State Land!

New England, home to Big Fat Teddy,
He thought John Kerry was surely ready...
Look away...look away...
Look away...Blue State Land!

[Refrain]

- In Washington, Oregon and Californy...
For Kerry they were all so horny...
Look away...look away...
Look away...Blue State Land!

Kerry won Joisy and Pennsylvania...
Guess they liked his egomania
Look away...look away...
Look away...Blue State Land!

[Refrain]

- And in Delaware, Maryland and D.C...
They all bled blue for John Kerry...
Look away...look away...
Look away...Blue State Land!

[Final Refrain]

But Bush won in Ohio..hooRAY...hooRAY!
In JesusLand we made our stand...
We'll never be a Blue State!
No way...no way...no WAY we'll BE a Blue State!

(cue Elvis voice: "thank you very much...")

"BOWLING GREEN, Ohio, Aug. 1 -- John F. Kerry pledged Sunday he would substantially reduce U.S. troop strength in Iraq by the end of his first term in office but declined to offer any details of what he said is his plan to attract significantly more allied military and financial support there. "

Will he be revealing the secret plan to the US or just sharing with Syria?
