Democratic Rep. Henry Waxman (California) is reported to have given a letter to antiwar activists to facilitate their delivery of aid to the 'other side' in Fallujah, Iraq.
The leftist online publication Peace and Resistance, in an article published January 1, said that Rep. Waxman had written a letter addressed to the American ambassador in Amman, Jordan to help ease transit through Customs of $600,000 worth of medical supplies and cash collected by the anti-American groups Code Pink and Global Exchange. According to the groups' leader, Medea Benjamin, the aid is destined for the "other side" in Fallujah.
The letter was being carried by Fernando Suarez Del Solar, an antiwar activist whose Marine son, 20-year-old Jesus A Suarez del Solar Novaro, was killed in Iraq on March 27, 2003 when he reportedly stepped on an American cluster bomb fragment.
Mr. Suarez is being accompanied on the trip by fellow parents of soldiers killed in Iraq, as well as several family members of those killed in the September 11 terrorist attacks.
One Iraqi, when informed that parents of American soldiers killed while liberating his country were giving aid to the "other side" in Fallujah, asked, "what kind of people would help those killing their own sons and daughters?"
That's a question the House Ethics Committee should be asking Rep. Waxman.

Thanks for the link. I have given my 2 cents. Though I don't think it will do any good in the case of my flaming liberal Congress-critter.

I'm not trying to down-play that seriousness of the tsunami disaster but, I have a feeling there will always be something to take precedence.
Have we seen any movement on the report by CBS on the Dan Rather fiasco, the Sandy Berger theft, the voter fraud charges on Hillary Clinton, the newly discovered payments to Maxine Waters family members in the millions of dollars?
It goes on and on---but the had like 3 different investigations completed in a week about Tom Delay---and he was loudly and publically taken to the woodshed.
Gotta hand it to the dems, they know how to avoid punishment for any and every kind of crime----

Oh, and there is a new thread about how the dems are planning on showing the Abu Ghraib torture videos on Thursday during the confirmation hearings for Albert Gonzales so they aren't gonna care about any treason going on in Iraq when they have a Bush nominee to verbally torture in front of the whole world!!!
I know this is the wrong thread, but it just goes back to how the dems act and the damn GOP lets them get away with it.

Hmmmmm....I'm probably mistaken, but I thought (???) that Code Pink was a radical homosexual group. Could someone set me STRAIGHT about this, please?
Who are they, & why would they be interested in THIS issue?

They get the proverbial free pass. Frustrating.

Good evening.
Medea Benjamin is not misguided she's malevolent. She knows full well who she and her comrades support. She is an enemy of everything our nation stands for and she hopes to do us harm.
Henry Waxman is a fellow traveler who also knows what he is doing. He is elected by a liberal urban district and can't be defeated at this time. Set Freerepublic on him and that may change.

Waxman hosts the snout of a pig and the creed of a Communist. He's a bad face for the Dems in both ways, and thus serves our interest, however vile his actions or outbursts.

Delay will not only listen, but he will do something---they have been after him for 4 years non-stop.
Paybacks are hell and I hope Delay gets out in front on this.

Good evening.
"Why do Americans keep reelecting these phony career politicians who DO NOT SINCERELY REPRESENT them?"
Have you seen Santa Monica lately? Waxman is reelected because he does represent the district. They aren't fooled as to what he is rather they choose him because of what he is.

...and when is Mr. Waxman going to explain this to the American families of the dead.
We just had a Democratic Congressman die today (Robert Matsui, a liberal to the end). Some people on that thread attacked him pretty harshly - and were then heavily criticized ("we should not attack a dead man", etc.). But when you read stories like this one, where Mr. Waxman is helping enemies kill US soldiers, it becomes somewhat more understandable how some of us are a bit ticked off at all liberals - living or dead.
