9/11 FLAP AT EMPIRE STATE
New York Post ^ | 12/27/04 | Ikimulisa Livingston

Tourists venturing atop the Empire State Building have been disturbed to see horrible images of Sept. 11 greeting them in the gift shop.

Two 9/11 tribute booklets adorn the top of the display stand, where news magazines and entertainment periodicals are stocked.

The color pictures on the covers of the booklets show the Twin Towers engulfed in flames. There are terrified people running from the scene, and one shot actually captures the second plane plowing into the South Tower.

"It's disturbing," said Alma Sanguinetti, 70, who was visiting from San Francisco.

GOOD. Put it on every news stand in America. Make it required reading in all schools. It's the only way that the "enlightened" 49% will ever get it...

Preach it, brother. You won't get in trouble for saying that around here.

Alma needs to understand that ignoring reality does not insulate you from the consequences of ignoring reality.

Well said - We should NEVER forget and to hell with those among us who want to forget.

I know I am going to get in trouble for say this, but here we go anyway.....

I wonder if these are the same folks that claim that the Holocaust never really happened.

Yep, probably French, too. IIRC they were already started on the "9/11 never happened" route under six months later.

Wow, that was powerful. Who wrote the poem? It's a very strong reminder of what we are fighting for.

"It's disturbing," said Alma Sanguinetti, 70, who was visiting from San Francisco.

"And the most disturbing pictures of all are the ones with that man standing on the World Trade Center observation deck as the plane came in, you know, the young man with the parka, sunglasses and a knit cap. That poor young man never had a chance."

Who wrote the poem?

It is actually a song:

If you click on the images above you can listen to a wav file of it.

Strongly disagree!

Every place the Islamofascist horror of 911 can be shown, it should be.

Yeah, but maybe the top of the Empire State Building isn't a good place.

Over 3000 innocent civilians died in less than 90 minutes on a crisp autumn day. It was called 9/11. The only weeping and gnashing of teeth from the liberals were the upset over the flag waving, country loving Americans who wanted revenge and justice. The liberals are more upset over the treatment of our enemy than the innocent men, women and children who were fried and incinerated that day. These poor misunderstoods who takes defenseless men and women and murder them in cold blood showing the barbarism that is their souls. Only a liberal, demorat, progressive, war protester, useful idiots and the elites that control them can find that kind of evil worth defending.

It's much more important that people see pictures of Abu Ghraib, to understand that this was a much more horrible event than 9/11.

Yeah, right.
