Photo Taken at 1st Marine Division Headquarters, Ar Ramadi, Iraq
Please remember all of those young Marines that have given the ultimate sacrifice for their Country this holiday season.
There's nothing I can add to this, it speaks for itself. Please pass it on (not sure how long the photo will stay up).
Heavenly Father, please keep these braves souls safe from harm and let them come home soon. Lord, please give them and their families comfort as they are far apart on this Christmas. Let them know that those of us at FreeRepublic appreciate them and respect them. I pray this in Jesus holy name, Amen.
"Of all the many things for which we should thank God in this holiday season, the men and women who serve in uniform on the frontiers of freedom ought to be at the top of our lists. It was, after all, a military man -- George Washington ' who first officially proclaimed in 1789 that we ought to be grateful for those who serve, as he put it, to protect the 'peaceable and rational manner in which we have been enable to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness.' As we celebrate our freedom and enjoy the fellowship of family and friends throughout the holiday...we need to remember the young men and women in uniform at home and those serving overseas in Iraq, Afghanistan, Europe, Korea, Japan and many other parts of the world defending this country."--Oliver North

Thank you for serving. I read your profile. As I somewhat tremble to think my Marine nephew must go back to Iraq once more, I sound out your salute to them. May our dear Lord keep His almighty and powerful hand over them as they must perform their honor bound duty to do battle with all enemies of the United States of America.
May He find special favor in protecting as many of them as He finds it in His perfect will to do so. We honor them, we salute them and we pray for their safe returns both in body, mind and in spirit. I reach out in faith and believe once again my Heavenly Father will protect my nephew and his buddies from harms way as they re-deploy to Iraq soon.
For anyone that has loved ones in Iraq and Afganistan, please do in your thoughts, remember many Americans that believe in the power of prayer, do hold your loved ones up to the Lord for a safe return. But equally we should all be holding them up for SUCCESSFULL MISSIONS. They are in those lands to free so many oppressed peoples and offer them hope for their loved ones. And they are there to take the fight to the enemy of the United States and all free, law abiding nations of peoples. To them I stand smartly at attention and salute. They serve with honor. And they are truly brave. They represent those words so many of us have voiced as we sing our National Anthem. The home of the free and the brave.
Semper Fi to you sir.
MERRY CHRISTMAS PING!
You have to see this most awesome photo. God bless the Marines!
