Can anyone identify what's in the image, bottom right, taken by the rover Opportunity 2 days ago?

Interesting, a berry is in the upper right hand section of it. Might just be ice.

Same stuff is on the bottom left. Almost looks like sludge or ice to me. Very very cool!

I thought it was too cold on Mars for water to exist in a liquid state.

Why does that one part of the photo look like giant pixels, compared to the rest? It def doesn't look like water or ice to me, looks like a glitch in the photo. But it's a good thing FR is analyzing it. How about NASA?

It certainly looks like water, or some sort of liquid. I'm surprised the Rover folks haven't come forth with an explanation.

I'd settle for a 'probably liquid substance'. Hard to say what it really is.

I didn't do it!
(Sad that I have to pre-emptively deny anything, isn't it?)
