BOSTON, Massachusetts (AP) -- Less than seven months after same-sex couples began tying the knot in Massachusetts, the state is seeing its first gay divorces.
Newlyweds seeking to renounce the vows they so recently took have been trickling into probate courts across the state, filling out obsolete forms that still read "husband" and "wife."
Josh Friedes, a spokesman for the Massachusetts Freedom to Marry Coalition, said the rapid divorces are no cause for concern.
"It would be wonderful if every marriage lasted until a couple lived to a ripe old age, but unfortunately we know from our heterosexual peers that all too often there are irrconcilable differences, and for these couples, divorce is often the most humane option," Friedes said. "Anyone who argues that gay and lesbian couples divorcing is grounds for opposing gay marriage is being incredibly hypocritical."

LOL
imagine the screaming matches LOL
"you put on my pink sweater you meanie!!"
LOL
I am shocked. Shocked, I tell ya.
If you think hetero divorce is bad, homo divorce will run rampant. Why? Because most of these folks have no self control and live very selfishly. Which does not work well in a "marriage."
Oh, REALLY!!
THATTH groundth for divorthe right NOW, thweetie...
thatths mean!! you hort my feelingths....
The idea of two people of the same sex getting "Married" is hilarious right on the face of it.
This just makes it even funnier... but I'm glad it's the people of Taxachusetts who are having to *pay* for it, and not *me*. (I'm sure it's all State subsidized back there, too...)
"Anyone who argues that gay and lesbian couples divorcing is grounds for opposing gay marriage is being incredibly hypocritical."
HA! If I remember correctly the homosexual community cited divorce in the heterosexual community as a reason to endorse homosexual marriage. They are the ones being hypocritical.
Now isn't that special! {points to former love birds} ... Look honey ... the homo's are following Hollyweird's example!
Quickie wedding [Cue Tammy Wynett singing, "Stand By Your Man"]... quickie divorce ...[Cue Tammy once again, "D-I-V-O-R-C-E"]
Can't you just imagine those custody battles with the adopted children? Who gets the kids and the child support and the house to raise them in?
Gay activists are using every means to 'legitimize' so-called gay marriage. Once a judge has granted a 'legal' divorce, then the activists can say "See, this action must mean that we were in a valid, legal, state-sanctioned marriage"
You ARE kidding, right?
Citing anything the APA sellouts have to say is suspect on its face. I believe their line is that if the participant in an action or behavior doesn't suffer for it inside then its ok. Thats how they moved 'mo-dom from a disorder to an acceptable lifestyle. Its also the same logic that makes them lean to accepting pedophilia as not so bad after all.
I suppose that Gay "spouses" have absolutely no problem telling any children they may raise that the natural order of things is a man mating with a woman? In your world, where the two "mates" cannot naturally produce a child of themselves, kids become more like pets than actual humans.
Gay marriage is an absurdity. Those who are intimately aware of the gay community know that promiscuity is the hallmark of the gay lifestyle, and that the change of partners invariably occurs often. A lasting homosexual relationship is like a snow in New York in July. Just ask a psychiatrist.
What?!
You mean this institution they just couldn't live without has turned out to be less than perfect?
Or could it be they were just in it for the attention, notoriety, activism etc. and not the commitment? Why I never dreamed they weren't sincere.
Tighten your seat belt, 'cuz you're gonna have a rough ride.
Who gets to file for alimony?
