Hey everybody. Just out of curiosity, did anyone see the Christmas greeting FOX had this morning? It showed a stained glass window with Mary and baby Jesus, and (if I remember correctly) John 3:16 written on the screen. The narrator said (something along the lines of) "Have a Merry Christmas", not 'Happy Holidays' or 'Seasons Greetings'.
I was very proud of them for not going PC, like everyone else. Yet another reason to watch FOX news!
I agree with Sean Hannity - we make a stand and carry on no matter what the PC crowd, the offended say.
We say Merry Christmas, we post signs where we want. We take back America because, you see, we are offended by the antics of the ACLU (with our tax money) and the efforts to remove God from granted freedoms. We are offended at the onslaught from every direction to take away our freedoms, our traditions and any reference to our God. If they can remove something because it offends, we can also remove something because it offends - the ACLU and their efforts.
Let them arrest all of us.
I'm sure there are Jewish Fox watchers or potential Fox watchers? There may even be some potential Muslim Fox watchers? Just as Christians can be made to feel welcome, why not the others. The point is not to supress religious expression because it might offend others.
I agree. I think that only celebrations which have been around for 2000 years or more deserve recognition on national TV.
A better comparison perhaps is Easter and Passover. We haven't even begun to take back Easter yet. But I see many many Joyous Passover bites on TV, but no mention of Easter. Well, Mr. Mel Gibson blew that away this year. BTW, I intend to go see the Passion of the Christ again on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday. Kind of helps me remember the reason for the Season. Course, Easter (Ishtar) is pagan too, I'm surprised the pagans haven't wanted to move from bunnies and eggs to their REAL fertility festivals. Easter is totally Politically Incorrect in violation of the Liberal Internationalist Speech Protocol (L.I.S.P.).
Julian Phillips mentioned on Sunday morning to a guest that there were a lot of fellow Christians at Fox. It was wonderful!
"And yesterday morning, E.D. Hill was talking about putting a creche and a menorah on teh set near the Christmas tree. "
I was thinking...
If it is Un-PC to wish someone a Merry Christmas because it may NOT be their holiday, is it not also Un-PC to wish someone a Happy Borthday because it may not be their BD.
Therefore, NO MORE HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES ARE ALLOWED.
I like Charlie. If he's saying Merry Xmas (which is an ancient way of abbreviating the holy day), that's actually better than Fox doing it. But I agree the Scripture is miles ahead of what you're going to get on CNN or anythin else.
BUMP!
Last night BOR showed a group of people singing Christmas Songs in front of the ACLU building in Washington. One of them has a sign that read, "please don't sue us" It was so refreshing.
Tony Snow wanted to sing carols in front of ACLU HQ. I say do it on government property. THAT's what would get in their face. I bet Christmas music would sound real nice in the Capitol Rotunda.
They best be producing the device as needed, one sale at a time or they might go broke on the inventory. Come to think of it......hmmmmmmmm
"I was mainly watching and really paying attention to the news, er... caster.."
It was mentioned the other day that she is recently un-married!
"Are we actually, "Taking America Back!"
We have to. Who else will straighten this cr@p out.
Two radio stations in town have changed their programming to all-Christmas music 24x7 'til the season's over. It's a nice change of pace.
LOL!
I can tell you are a "lawdude"!
Well, I am not a Christian, but I do not get all offended if someone says "Merry Christmas" to me.
I take the kind, warm thought for what it is, smile and say "Merry Christmas" right back.
I also say "Happy Hannukah".
I think we'd all be a lot better off if some peoplee grew a thicker skin and got over some of this weeny sensitivity.
Its time again that I trot out this old rant of mine...
Nowhere in our Constitution or in the Bill of Rights are we guaranteed the right not to be offended. Since a small percentage of the public has re-written the Bill of Rights, I have my own list of what offends me.
1. The ACLU offends me. From their defense of NAMBLA, to their ridiculous notion that non-citizens have the same rights as citizens of this country, to their defense of the abortion industry. I should file suit against them in Federal Court and force them to shut down, after all, I am offended.
2. Abortion providers offend me. Not just because they murder innocent babies, but their trampling on the free speech and protest rights of those who oppose them. Again, I should file suit against every abortion provider in the country, after all, I am offended.
3. Gun Grabbers offend me. Their constant assault on the Constitution is an offense to every citizen of this country. Filing suit is appropriate, after all, I am offended.
4. Liberals and Democrats highly offend me. Everything they stand for, from welfare for able bodied people to their ridiculous environmental-nazi laws, to their general "Blame America first" attitude. I am offended that the wife of the most corrupt president in history is right now sitting in the Senate proposing spending and laws I must follow. Democratic politicians like Cynthia McKinney, Al Sharpton and Hillary Clinton should be made illegal, after all, I am offended.
5. Feminists offend me. The hypocrisy in the feminist movement is blatant. While claiming to support a women's right to be free of sexual harassment they supported an admitted harasser (namely...the StainMaker TM solely on the grounds he was a pro-choice president. NOW and it's various off-shoots should be illegal, after all, I am offended.
6. Those who claim African-Americans have no voice in George Bush's White House while two of his highest ranking advisors were black offend me. Quite simply, I never realized a person was not African-American unless they were a democrat. I am offended because I was not taught this lesson from early childhood. African-Americans who make frivolous claims should be illegal, after all, I am offended.
7. I am offended that the right to Free Speech as well as Freedom of Religion has been removed from anyone attending a public school. Instead a perceived right, stating that the word God, if uttered in a public school setting will somehow make the ears of children bleed. I am offended that my children's rights have been removed, it should be illegal to do this, after all, I am offended.
8. I am offended by the words of the New Black Panther Party or any other anti-American, terrorist organization in the U.S.; you know...the groups that support terrorists and their activities while putting the blame on this great nation. I am offended they are allowed the right to freely express their opinion without retribution. I am offended that many others are not given this same right, The Black Panther Party, among others should be illegal, after all, I am offended.
9. I am offended by hate crime laws. It is illegal to threaten a person solely by the color of their skin, or their sexual preference but only if you are a heterosexual or a white American. Homosexual groups as well as minority groups at will can offend, make death threats and cause general disturbances without the fear of retribution. Again, this should be illegal, after all, I am offended.
10. Finally I am offended that no lawyer or legal service is available to me to file suit against those who offended me. After all, I am on the wrong side of the issue. Being a conservative, married male, I am the offender, not the offended. I'd file suit, but I'm offended I have nowhere to go.
Over the next few decades of my life, I am assured I will be offended even more. Will I receive press coverage? Of course not, after all I do not have the right to be offended. That's reserved for only for those with special offense clauses in their personal bill of rights. For this, I am highly offended.
